Nevermore! Edgar Allen Poe, the Final Mystery Cast

Edgar Allan Poe (Mark Lacy)
Mark is a graduate of NYC’s esteemed Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater and has appeared in numerous film, television, national commercial roles in both New York and Los Angeles. A VMI alumnus, Mark recently returned to the area and Nevermore marks his return to the VA stage since appearing in Lime Kiln’s Stonewall Country many years ago.
Captain Nimrod (Paige Reisenfeld)
Paige is thrilled to be back on stage with CAT! She graduated from VCU with a degree in Vocal Performance and is the soprano section leader at Ginter Park Presbyterian Church. In the past year, she ventured into the realm of voiceover and started a career as an audiobook narrator. Favorite stage acting credits include Rosa Bud/Deirdre Peregrine in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" (Swift Creek Mill Theatre), the voices of Ruth, Debbie, Denise, and Julia in "Talk Radio" (5th Wall Theatre), Gretchen in “Boeing, Boeing” (CAT Theatre), and June (and all her incarnations) in "The Musical of Musicals, the Musical" (Swift Creek Mill Theatre). All the love and gratitude to my family, friends, three cats, and PJ, whose support knows no bounds.
Reynolds (John Marshall)
John is returning to the Richmond Theater scene after a twenty year absence when he last appeared in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare...Abridged with Encore! Theatre. He is a Richmond native who has been performing since he was a child in the area, when he appeared in a production of The Pied Piper with the Children’s Theater of Richmond. He holds a BFA in Acting from VCU where he appeared in productions of The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hunting Cockroaches and Iphegenia at Aulis. In the Richmond Community, he is proud to have been one of the actors to have been in the founding seasons of the Richmond Triangle Players in productions including Vampire Lesbians of Sodom/Sleeping Beauty or Coma, The Boys in the Band, As Is and Times Square Angel. He has a career in Fitness that took off in the mid-nineties, which is why he took time away from acting. He’s happy to return, not only to acting, but to a LIVE production with this great cast and Chamberlayne Actors Theatre!
Annabel Lee (Caitlin Nolan)
Caitlin E. Nolan made her CAT debut almost 20 years ago as Gloria in Wait Until Dark. She is thrilled to be back with CAT performing as Annabel Lee. Caitlin holds a BA in Theatre and Dance from Old Dominion University and currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Illuminated Stage Theatre Company. She was last seen as Lucy in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown (The Theater Company at Fort Lee). After spending some time singing live in an acoustic duo, she is happy to be in the theatre. As an avid reader, she is excited to be on this journey with the cast and audience as they experience the mystery of Poe!
Ensemble (Mary Huhmann)
Mary Huhmann moved to Richmond from New Mexico four years ago, and has been exploring the theatre community here. She has performed with the River City Community Players, Wishing Wind Creations, and the On the Air Radio Players, and has volunteered as a live audio describer for theatre performances through Virginia Voice. None of her adventures would be possible without the love and support of her husband, Bruce, and her kids, Alban and Penelope.
Ensemble (Sandra Clayton)
Sandra is delighted to be back at CAT. A Richmond native she has been active in Richmond Theatre for close to thirty years. She was seen most recently in River City’s Production of Mama Won’t Fly. Her other credits include Mrs. Sandry in The Grapes of Wrath, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, and Jerri Neal in The Dixie Swim Club at Virginia Rep, Fort Lee Playhouse, and CAT respectively. She sends much Love to her Leading Man, Charles.
Ensemble (William Henry)
William, an English major in college, is loving the opportunity to help bring the great Edgar Allan Poe to the audience with this production. “Nevermore” is William’s first appearance on a Richmond-area stage. Before moving to Mechanicsville recently, he was active in community theater in northern Virginia. Performances there included multiple male and female characters in “A Tuna Christmas,” Bob Cratchit and other characters in the musical “Once Upon a Christmas Carol,” and the title role in “The Giver.” He also performed three seasons as the Mouse King in the Loudoun Ballet Company’s production of “The Nutcracker,” and two seasons as Judas in the Purcellville, Virginia Passion Play. William wrote, directed and performed in several productions for public-access television in northern Virginia. William thanks everyone involved in the production, for this experience, and thanks his wife of 47 years, Charlotte, for supporting his love of acting, and for washing the dishes all the times he had to cut out right after dinner for rehearsals.
Ensemble (Maddie Moralez)
Maddie is extremely honored to be a part of the performance Nevermore. She has been involved with many of her school performances as a cast member or a technician. A significant favorite of hers was Beauty and the Beast, and is greatly excited for the upcoming production of The Little Mermaid. She is profoundly thankful for her Producer Charles Wax for giving her many opportunities, and hopes you enjoy the show- as every participant has worked tremendously hard.
Ensemble (Audrey Sparrow)
Audrey is very glad to work with the talent in Richmond! Shows she’s previously been in include Taming of the Shrew, Pride and Prejudice (Quill), Wild Women of Winedale (CAT), and several Raider Player productions. Thank you for coming and enjoy the show!
Ensemble (Barbara Johnson)
Barbara is just happy to be here. She’s a junior at Atlee High School making her professional debut, though she’s performed in local musicals with HAAC, Atlee, and CWorks for the past few years. She’d like to thank Wax and John for this great opportunity, the cast for being so darn fun to act with, and you for spending your time with us.
Ensemble (Carter Mullen)
This is Carter Mullen’s first show with Chamberlayne Actors Theatre. Thank you for coming to the performance!
Ensemble (Camden Sparrow)
Camden Sparrow is so glad you’ve taken the time to come out and see this performance of Nevermore. Camden has worked with CAT in the past, and is stoked to work with them again. They welcome you to sit, back, relax, and let the voyage into darkness continue.
