Thank You For Your Generosity
Garden Players is a small theater program dedicated to bringing new original works to life for children to perform, focusing on socially conscious original content since 2004, when Betina Hershey began leading the group.
Putting on a show always requires fundraising. We hope you'll help us get this big-hearted, local production up and running.
Funds will be used towards the next production. Help fund sets, costumes, props, space rental, a band of professional NYC musicians, a sound engineer, and a backstage crew. Funds will also help purchase script copies, a videographer and pay our writers, director, and musical director.
$20 funds one director’s assistant during rehearsals
$60 funds one hour of space rental
$100 funds two gallons of paint and a few supplies for our set painting crew
$300 funds one backstage technical assistant at $15 per hour for 20 hours.
$600 funds one professional musician playing a full weekend: 2 rehearsals, 4 shows.
$2,200 funds our videographer to record and edit the original work, helping with our outreach mission.
$2,300 funds our musical director/pianist at $50 an hour for 46 hours (Sunday rehearsals and weekend of performances)
$400-$5,000 would allow us to improve our sound system. Depending upon the amount raised, we would purchase additional hanging mics, rent additional sound equipment, and/or bring in a sound designer for guidance.
Every donation helps bring quality original theater with socially conscious themes and a sense of fun to children and community members.
