Unholy Antics Rev Up 'Nunsense'

“A musical hail of fun and frolic! Wacky and outrageous with hysterical anything goes humor!”

- New York Times

"Nunsense," is the long-running Off Broadway musical, now being performed by Waimea Community Theatre, about a group of nuns from the convent of the Little Sisters of Hoboken who have pooled their talents to produce a benefit show and are on stage singing, dancing and offering Roman Catholic comedy routines to raise money to bury the remaining four of the 48 sisters who were killed in an  unfortunate accidental case of food poisoning at the convent.

A hilarious musical comedy by Dan Goggin, the playwright, composer and lyricist of "Nunsense," has packed in every nun joke imaginable, from the opening statement that "nunsense is habit forming,” and even a hand puppet named Sister Mary Annette. Every crazy antic of this talented cast will leave the audience smiling, laughing and tapping along to a variety of great songs.

Join us for this great show, playing three weekends at three locations. August 4th, 5th & 6th at Parker Theatre in Waimea,  August 12th and 13th at the Elks Lodge in Kona and August 20th & 21st at the Hongwanji Mission in Honokaa. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 pm and Sunday shows at 2 pm. Tickets are available now at www.waimeacommunitytheatre.org.
