Hello, We'd like to thank you in advance for considering a donation to The Historic Monroe Theatre. Built in 1939, The Theatre ran full steam until 1977 when it closed its doors for what most thought would be forever. That couldn't have been any more wrong. After sitting empty and deteriorating for 42 years, The Monroe Arts Council secured the theatre, and immediate started restoration efforts with basically zero money. The Monroe Arts Council is certainly a 501C3 NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION, and your contribution is TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Thanks to so many loyal donors, sponsors, and volunteers, The Monroe Theatre has already secured and spent about 1.5 million dollars towards restoration efforts. Sadly, total restoration is estimated to be around 5.6 million dollars. We stretch every dollar we get in order to do the most we can with that dollar. Amount or donation size DOES NOT MATTER…We are thrilled with receiving anything from pocket change to large corporate sponsorships. We put it to good use. The Monroe Theatre is again becoming known allover the United States, and even as far away as Canada, Norway, and Germany. We have followers from allover the world, and its growing all the time. We invite you to come see us anytime. Taking a step in to The Monroe Theatre, is truly like stepping back in time. You are ALWAYS welcome here, and we want you to feel like you're coming home every time you visit. Thanks again for your consideration for a donation today…
