Widowed Mrs. Savage has been left ten million dollars, despite her stepchildren’s efforts to get their hands on it. Worried that the wealth is now at risk by her eccentricity, the stepchildren commit her to a sanatorium hoping to “bring her to her senses.” In the sanatorium Mrs. Savage meets various social misfits… people who might need the help Mrs. Savage can provide. In getting to know them, the audience is left with a feeling that the neglected virtues of kindness and affection may not have been entirely lost in a world that seems at times motivated only by greed and dishonesty. Theatre Arts at The Master’s University exists to glorify God and impact our community through thoughtful and excellent presentation of plays or musicals and by enjoying human creativity as a reflection of the Creator, as becomes a child of God.

TMU Theatre Arts is a co-curricular program housed in the Communication Department. It is designed to give training and expression in the performing arts alongside any major at the University. Participants and contributors come from all disciplines, dorms, and interests at TMU. Our program offers classes such as Theatre Arts, Theatre Production, and Introduction and Advanced Acting, allowing any students to receive formal, credited training in the performing arts.
