The Wizard of Oz Cast

Samantha Hallet (Dorothy Gale)
Samantha is from Spring Hill, FL. She likes reading, drawing, singing and playing video games. She also adores her cats, Squeegee and Amber. She previously has played ensemble in both The Little Mermaid and Matilda the Musical that was unfortunately canceled due to Covid. She would like to thank Elizabeth Prater, her sister, for pushing her to audition and Lesilee and Stanley Hallett, her mom and dad, for supporting her.
Lillie DeVree (Dorothy Gale Und.)
Lillie is from Rock Springs, she is an Art Major that enjoys doing theater in her free time. In the past she performed in roles such as Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors, Justice Charlier in Rock of Ages, as well as a multitude of ensemble rolls. She is honored to be performing as the Dorothy Understudy in this show! She would like to thank her mother, Stephanie DeVree, her family, and her friends.
Jeremy Cain (Scarecrow/Hunk)
Jeremy is from Cedar City, UT. He has recently graduated with his Associates in Musical Theatre from Western Wyoming Community College and will be attending Stephen's College in Columbia, Missouri in August. He also enjoys playing board games and video games. Some of his favorite roles include: Fipp (Urinetown), Warren (Ordinary Days), Robert (Company). He would like to thank his Dad for his brains, Mom for her heart, sisters, Marissa and Shiloah, for their courage.
Bailey Cutler (Scarecrow/Hunk Und.)
Bailey is from Rock Springs. She enjoys anything with art and music, and hanging out with her friends and family. She has spent several past summers in the BOCES theater program, as well as a high school play, and several of Horizon's past productions as well. Bailey would like to thank her mom for her love and support, her dad for being there for her, as well as her brothers and her friends.
Tim Knight (Tin Man/Hickory)
Tim is from Green River, and is a huge Lord of the Rings fan, and has worked in IT for 24 years. Tim has been on stage since high school, including some community theater productions, most recently in the Horizon Theater's production of The Forgotten Carols. His most favorite role was Frankie in Forever Plaid. Tim would like to thank his parents for encouraging him to be involved in music and theater. He would also like to thank his wife Marla for being his best friend and always supporting him.
Sam Smith (Tin Man/Hickory Und.)
Sam is from Rock Springs, his favorite hobby is Dungeons and Dragons. He has been involved in theater since high school and has been in The Little Mermaid, Matilda, and A Christmas Carol amongst others. He would like to thank his family for always supporting his acting goals, and Uriel Herrera.
Erika Hunsaker (Cowardly Lion/Zeke)
Erika is originally from Salt Lake City. She is the owner of Upstage Theater Co, is a Youth Crisis Mentor/Supervisor for Rock Springs Youth Home for the past12 yrs, has been in performing arts for 20 years, is a mother of 2 daughters and happily married. Some of her favorite past shows have been Shrek the Musical, the Trailer Park Musical, and Diana in Next to Normal. She would like to thank her husband, Keelan Hunsaker, her daughters, her BFF's, and her job at the youth home for always supporting her.
Uriel Herrera (Cowardly Lion/Zeke Und.)
Uriel was raised in Rock Springs. He enjoys theater and reading. Past productions have included Some Enchanted Evening, and A Christmas Carol. He would like to thank Horizon Theater, and Sam Smith.
Whitney Hopkins (Glinda the Good Witch/Aunt Em Und.)
This is Whitney's 4th production with the Horizon Theater. This is a dream role for her! She has fond memories of watching Wizard of Oz many times as a kid, that may have been where she learned most of her lines. Whitney has a background in Vocal Music Education and she loves all things musical theater. She's excited to be performing with her 3 daughters Addie, Lilly, and Clara.
Ruthann Wheeler (Aunt Em/Glinda Und.)
Ruthann is from Rock Springs, and is a mathematics teacher at Rock Springs High School. She enjoys hiking and fishing with her family. Her favorite show that she has been in was The Forgotten Carols. She loves the friendships that she made in that cast as well as the story of the show. She would like to thank her husband for holding down the fort at home and for running everyone to their activities so she could have time to go to practice.
Brian James Hunt (Uncle Henry/Winkie General)
Brian is from Rock Springs. A fun face about Brian is that he has inattentive ADHD and is left handed. He also enjoys woodturning of functional bowls and containers. He would like to thank his amazing wife Amber and lovely daughter Autumn. They both have been very supportive through this and he is excited for them to see him in this play.
Jared (Zeek) Kropf (Pro. Marvel/Oz and Niko Und.)
Zeek lives in Green River, but is originally from Kanab, UT. He is a process engineer by day, enjoys gardening and the outdoors, and loves his wife and kids. As the "least talented" member of his family, his favorite roles have been Dallas, Mary's Father, Mr. Fezziwig, and the Great and Powerful Captain of the Flying Monkeys. He would like to thank Horizon Theatre for another show the whole family can enjoy. He would also like to thank God for giving him a heart, a brain, and a little courage.
Ezra Achenbach (Niko and Pro Marvel/Oz Und.)
Ezra was born and raised in Wyoming. He aspires to become a voice actor and physical therapist. In past performances he has been the voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors, Father Alexandrios/ensemble for Mamma Mia, The Wolf in Into The Woods, and Dave in Almost Maine. Ezra would like to quote "Despair is easy, and good things come from challenges."
Leesa Khulmann (The Wicked Witch)
Leesa is a Wyoming native. She enjoys singing jazz, and being involved in Actor's Mission and Horizon Theater productions. Leesa has been directing musicals for over 20 years, but didn't start her acting career until 2015, when she debuted as the Countess in Actor's Mission's production of "The Women". She was also in "Silent Sky" and Horizon's Production of "Some Enchanted Evening." Her favorite role is the current one. Leesa would like to thank her loving husband of over 40 years for putting up with hours of rehearsals, working lines, and attending performances. After 40 years, he still does it without complaining (too much).
Kat Burnham (The Wicked Witch Und.)
Kat is from Mountain View, WY. Outside of theater they enjoy alternative fashion, art, and all things spooky! Some of their previous roles include "Little Sally" (Urinetown), and "The Mistress/The Girl" (The Good Doctor). Kat would like to thank their friends, family, and obviously Kermit the Frog. They are dedicating this performance to their Grandmother, she always believed in Kat and supported their big dreams, they hope they are making her proud.
Ashley Pedersen (Miss Gulch)
Ashley is from Rock Springs, and is a life and business coach. She enjoys hiking, yoga, and reading. This is her first experience in theater, and she would like to thank her husband and three kids for supporting her in this endeavor.
Sophia Swafford (Toto)
Sophia is from Oklahoma City. She loves dancing, art, animals, and acting. Sophia has played the Cat in Cinderella the Musical. When not onstage, Sophia loves spending time with her siblings, volunteering at the animal shelter, and drawing.
Clara Hopkins (Toto Und.)
Clara will be in second grade this fall. This is Clara's third production to perform in. Her previous roles include Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol and the Egg Seller in Beauty and the Beast. She loves dancing, singing, and playing with her friends. She is quite the little sassy fashionista.
Najmah Elgelaawi (Emerald City Guard)
Najmah is from Rock Springs, they enjoy writing, drawing, and obsessing over obscure fandoms. In the past, Najmah has been in Alice in Wonderland, Uncle Vanya, and Marat/Sade. As well as assistant directing Horizon's production of Ordinary Days! They want to give a shout out to their dad, Salah, who has listened to her complain day in and day out and loved her through it all. Big thanks to him for being at every show she has directed or been in! Thanks dad!
Elizabeth Prater (Munchkin Mayor/Apple Tree/Ens.)
Elizabeth is from Rock Springs. She enjoys gardening, and is excited to perform in The Wizard of Oz. She would like to thank her family for being supportive.
Emily Durrant (Crow/Ens.)
Emily has lived in Rock Springs for 12 years. She is a director and instructor at Sweetwater Music Keys, a non-profit music school. Emily has a degree in piano performance, and loves playing and teaching piano and choir. This is her first show since high school, where she was in ensemble in Les Miserables. She was recently music director for "Little Shop of Horrors" with Upstage Theater Co. She would like to thank her husband and 4 children for their sacrifice of time and allowing her to be in this show. Also, to Anna for helping her be brave enough to get on stage.
Annalee Durrant (Crow/Munchkin/Ens.)
Anna is from Rock Springs, and she loves to craft, read, and climb trees. She has been participating in the Summer Theater program through BOCES for several years, and played the role of Matilda, in "Matilda." Anna loves theater, and can't wait to perform in Wizard of Oz!
Tayson Wheeler (Crow/Winkie/Ens.)
Tayson is from Rock Springs, and he works as a lifeguard at the Rec Center. This is his first production, he would like to thank everyone who has been his friends in the past years.
Anna Kropf (Apple Tree/Ens.)
Anna is excited to be a sassy tree in Oz. She has been seen in several BOSCES summer theatre productions, her favorite roles being Oliver in “Oliver Twist Jr.” and Toto in the Jr version of “Oz.” Previous Horizon credits include Thomas/Turkey boy in “Christmas Carol” and running spotlights for “The Forgotten Carols.”
Ari Kuhn (Apple Tree/Ens.)
Ari is from Rock Springs, and she is an Art Major at Western Wyoming Community College. She recently played Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Donna in Mamma Mia, and minor roles in other high school shows. Her favorite role so far has been Donna, it was her senior year show, and she got to do it with her best friends. Ari would like to thank her parents, grandparents, and friends for always supporting her.
Camryn Nelson (The Jitterbug)
Camryn is from Rock Springs, and she loves to dance. One of the past shows she's been in was Shrek the Musical. She would like to thank Cory and Sarah.
Addie Hopkins (Dancer/Ens.)
Adeline "Addie" absolutely loves performing and it comes quite naturally to her! Previous Roles include Lavender in Matilda Jr, Rose Seller in Oliver Jr, and Lullaby League in Wizard of Oz Jr. She's excited to be performing as the Toy Maker in this summers production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at WWCC. Addie will be going into 8th grade this fall. She loves figure skating, her dog and is very creative.
Haley Hodge (Winkie/Ens.)
Haley is from Destin, Florida. She likes to act anytime she can and post Tik-Toks. The Wizard of Oz will be her first show, and her dream role is Veronica in Heathers. She would like to thank her parents for taking her to and from rehearsals and for supporting her.
Matthew Lemon (Winkie/Ens.)
Matthew is from Rock Springs, he enjoys woodworking. Matthew's favorite show was The Forgotten Carols with The Horizon Theater.
Jez Alvey (Munchkin Coroner/Flying Monkey)
Jez is from Rock Springs, loves Pokemon, drawing, and playing percussion in their school band. Some previous shows they've been in include Hansel & Gretel (Gretel); Beauty and the Beast (castle servant); and Cinderella (Lord at royal ball.) Jez loves that in this show, they get to perform as both a good character (Munchkin) and a villain (Flying Monkey.)
Lindsey Golden (Munchkin/Flying Monkey)
Lindsey is from Rock Springs, and a fun fact about her is that she is double jointed. She has previously performed as a villager in Beauty and the Beast. She would like to thank her family for cheering her on.
Ean Jensen (Munchkin/Flying Monkey)
Ean enjoys working outside, playing Minecraft, legos, and hanging out with his friends and family. He has never performed in a show before, and would like to thank his two sisters, two brothers, his parents, and his aunt.

Lillian "Lilly" first performed Horizon Theater's production of A Christmas Carol, followed by summer productions of Matilda Jr and Beauty and the Beast. Lilly is the sweetest girl and will be in 5th grade this fall. She's a great helper around the house and loves her puppy Toby.
Quinn Hunsaker (Munchkin/Flying Monkey)
Quinn loves to dance, play outside, and do crafts and activities. She also loves her kitties and dinosaurs. Quinn has been dancing for the past two years, but this is her first musical. She would like to thank her family and her cats.
Hazel Wheeler (Munchkin/Flying Monkey)
Hazel is from Rock Springs. She has a cat named Kovid, and will be going into 8th grade. She enjoys doing track, and Math Counts, and plays the flute in her school band. She was previously in Beauty and the Beast Jr. and would like to thank her mom for encouraging her to do this show.
