Jennifer Coville (Alison)
Jennifer is thrilled to be back at OCTA getting to be a part of this incredible show. You may have seen her in numerous productions over the years but recently, she has gotten to perform in shows with her children. This has ignited a new and wonderful perspective getting to experience theatre through their eyes. She performed with her daughter, Amelia, in "The Wizard of Oz" (Summer 2019) and "Seussical" (Summer 2021). She has performed with her kids Tucker, Amelia and Lincoln in both "Seussical" (Summer 2022) and "Beauty & the Beast" (Summer 2023), and now "Fun Home" with her son Lincoln. Jennifer would like to say thank you to Traye for always believing in her, Amelia for running lines with her, and her family for always continuing to support the arts. Love you all.
Jo Pellow (Medium Alison)
Jo is thrilled to be back for their second show at OCTA! You may have seen Jo as “Maureen” in "Rent" last fall. Some of their other credits include: "The Shining" (Grady Twin), "Amahl And The Night Visitors" (Amahl):The Lyric Opera, "Carrie the Musical" (Carrie White), "Spring Awakening" (Anna):Faust Theatre, "Last Days of Summer" (Rachel Panitz), "A Christmas Carol" (Belinda Cratchit):KCREP, "Hana's Suitcase" (Hana), "The Miracle Worker" (Helen Keller):The Coterie Theatre. Jo would like to thank the incredible cast and creative team for making their dream of being a part of this show possible. :) Love is love is LOVE.
Nora Dixon (Small Alison)
Nora is excited to be in her first performance with OCTA! She was recently in "Rudolph" at the Coterie (Elf) and "Ragtime:In Concert" (Little Girl) with The Barn Players. Her favorite role was Tootie in "Meet Me In St. Louis" at Theatre in the Park. Nora loves dancing, aerial silks, crafts, and hanging out with friends. Spencer Thompson (Bruce Bechdel)
Spencer Thompson is a graduate of Drury University. Some of his favorite Kansas City credits include "The Great Comet of 1812" (Pierre), "Sweeney Todd" (Beadle), and "Vilna: A Resistance Story" (Avrom Sutzkever). This is his 3rd OCTA show, previously seen in "A New Brain" and "Sunday in the Park With George". Spencer is also on the OCTA board and acts as Co-Production Manager. Spencer would like to thank his parents and Sally for their continued love and support.
Emily Coffin (Helen Bechdel)
Emily Anne Coffin (they/she/he) is a performer and artist born and raised in the KC area! Recent local credits include Sonya in "Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812" (Fishtank Theatre), "Keep it Gay Cabaret" (Fishtank Theatre), Eddie in "The Rocky Horror Show" (Summit Theatre Group), and Foley Artist in "Our Town" (Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre). They are incredibly grateful for any and every opportunity to tell queer stories with fellow queer artists. This one goes out to little 17 year old Em furiously highlighting their copy of the graphic novel <3
Luke Pyron (Christian Bechdel)
Luke Pyron lives in Shawnee and is a fifth grader at Belmont Elementary. Luke is excited to make his debut at OCTA! He has performed for Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park in "School of Rock" (James), "Seussical" (JoJo), and "Freaky Friday" (Fletcher). He has also performed for Music Theatre Kansas City (MTKC) in "Shrek" (Baby Ogre and Elf), "Beauty and the Beast" (Chip), and "Bye Bye Birdie" (Randolph). Luke’s most recently performed for the Lyric Opera of Kansas City in "The Sound of Music" (Kurt). Luke enjoys dancing, singing, tumbling, and soccer.
Lincoln Coville-Schweigert (John Bechdel)
Lincoln is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with BOTH his Moms! Lincoln is a 3rd grader at Clearwater Creek Elementary School. This is Lincoln’s 3rd community theatre production. Lincoln was in the Culture House production of "Suessical the Musical" at the Kauffman Center and Leadwood Stage production of "Beauty and the Beast". Lincoln is a member of the Miller Marley School of Dance Competition Team. Huge thank you to Lincoln’s big blended family for all of their love and support, helping get him to dance and rehearsals!
Kameron Cole (Joan)
Kameron Cole is so excited to be back for her second show at OCTA! She’s currently finishing her BA in Theatre at UMKC. Some other productions you may have seen her in include "Cabaret" (Faust Theatre), "RENT" (OCTA), or "Alice’s Wonderland" (Coterie). Travis Mendoza-Holt (Roy/Mark/Pete/Bobby/Jeremy)
Travis is so thrilled to be making his OCTA main stage debut with such a talented cast and creative team to tell such a beautiful story! Travis’s recent credits include Old Prince Bolkonsky/Andrey in "Great Comet" (The Black Box), William Barfeé in "Spelling Bee" (TTIP), Riff Raff in "Rocky Horror" (Padgett Productions), and Woof in "Hair" (Padgett Productions). Travis would especially like to thank his husband, Delano, whose immense love for theatre continually inspires Travis and reminds him why he chose to be an artist.
