The Sound of Music Cast

Ivy Witmer (Maria Rainer)
Ivy Witmer is in her eleventh theater production since 2017. While this is Ivy’s fourth appearance on stage at Oak Farm Montessori School, Ivy was in seven productions with the Tibbits Young Audiences (TYA) children's theater group at Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater, MI. Ivy’s most recent roles include playing the Fairy Godmother in Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, the Enchantress in The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, the Sea Witch in The Little Mermaid, Martha in We the People, Sandy Leonardo Sappovitz in The Comic Book Artist, and Mrs. Sowerby in The Secret Garden. Ivy is a songwriter who loves to sing and she is especially excited to be playing a character who loves music as much as her. She has also really enjoyed working with all the other cast members, especially the talented younger cast members in this production. Ivy is a Sophomore at Oak Farm Montessori High School and is in this musical with her twin sister, Lily.
Andrew Sondek (Captain Georg Von Trapp)
This is Andrew's first musical he has ever been a part of. He's very excited for this new opportunity and is looking forward to the final production. In his spare time, he loves to play piano and that's where his passion for music grew.
Lily Witmer (Liesl Von Trapp)
Lily Witmer is in her ninth theater production. Though this is only her second time on stage at Oak Farm Montessori School, Lily was in seven productions with the Coldwater, MI children’s theater group TYA at the historic Tibbits Opera House. Lily’s recent roles include playing Daphne in the Little Mermaid, Martha in We the People, Mrs. Wonderman in The Comic Book Artist, Virginia Segal in The Nifty Fifties, and Millicent in the Secret Garden. A Sophomore at Oak Farm Montessori High School, Lily loves to bake, draw, play the piano and drums, train her dog Queso, and spend time with her twin sister, Ivy, who is also in this production.
Cooper Routsong (Friedrich Von Trapp)
Cooper Routsong is playing Friedrich in "The Sound of Music." He has previously been in one OFMTC play, “Somebody Catch My Homework”. Cooper enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, playing basketball, and participating in extra curricular activities.
Ilah Mosley (Louisa Von Trapp)
Ilah Mosley is an 8th grader at OFMS and has been in multiple plays along with this one. Her first production at OFMS was an Elementary school play called Somebody Catch My Homework. More recently, she was Joy the stepsister in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Ilah is an artist currently setting up her own small business! She also enjoys music, cooking, debates, cartoons, and everything weird and unusual!
Lennox Boniface (Kurt Von Trapp)
Lennox Boniface is a 4th year in UE3 at Oak Farm Montessori School. He has 2 younger brothers and a sister. He enjoys playing outdoors, learning about history, and spending time with his family and friends. He loves to travel, game, build with Legos and try new things. He can be found on the weekends cuddling his best friend, a furry ginger cat named Cinnamon.
Matilda Villarreal (Brigitta Von Trapp)
Matilda is participating in her first musical with the Oak Farm Montessori Theatre Company. She was previously a Singing Racoon for OFMTC’s play, "A Friend for Potato." When Matilda is not giving Fraulein Maria a hard time as Brigitta, she enjoys OFMS cheerleading, YMCA basketball, Wallen softball and riding her pony, Burrito.
Bianca Alves (Marta Von Trapp)
Bianca Alves is 8-years-old and in LE1 at OFMS. This is her first time performing in a play. She enjoys gymnastics, singing, playing the piano, reading, learning at school, and playing with her friends. She lives in Fort Wayne with her mom, dad, and younger brother.
Navy Hartman (Gretl Von Trapp)
Navy Rae is a spirited 4-year-old making her theatrical debut in "The Sound of Music." Navy was recently signed by casting agencies in New York and Chicago for TV and commercials. Her passion for performance shines bright. Beyond auditions, she enjoys outdoor adventures, crafts, swimming, soccer, sea turtles, and movie night with Mom and Dad.
Gretchen Lowe (Baroness Elsa Schraeder)
Gretchen Lowe is a sophomore at Oak Farm Montessori High School. Her theatre background includes productions with First Presbyterian Theatre, Three Rivers Music Theatre, Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts, Fort Wayne Youtheatre, Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, And Gaslight Playhouse. She was an Anthony Award recipient for Best Juvenile Actress for playing Susan Waverly in "A White Christmas". Last year she played the role of Cinderella in Oak Farm Montessori Theatre Company's first musical performance. Gretchen is very passionate about music, spending the majority of her time playing violin for Fort Wayne Philharmonic Symphony Youth Orchestra where she holds the Concertmaster position.
Grayson Pettit (Max Detweiler)
His first performance in 4 years, Grayson is ecstatic to start his acting career! Playing Guitar and Didgeridoo, Grayson is not new to music, but is ready to dabble in onstage performance.
Sarrazine Prough (Mother Abbess)
Sarrazine Prough is excited to return to OFMTC for another production. Previous productions include Pygmalion (Eliza Doolittle), Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon (Actor, Gretl, Frog Prince, etc.), The Little Mermaid (The Little Mermaid), and Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (Lucy), to name a few. Professionally, she appeared in Addams Family: The Musical with Summit City Music Theatre and she has had roles in productions at the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, the Pulse Opera House, and Project Ballet. When she's not onstage, she loves to draw, play videogames, and snuggle with the best dog in the whole world, Dorie.
Jorja Lowe (Sister Berthe)
Jorja has been in many plays and musicals, including: Pygmalion (Mrs. Higgins), The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon (Cinderella and others), A Friend For Potato (Kasey), and more! When Jorja is not acting, she will typically be crocheting, playing instruments, baking, or swimming. Jorja is so excited to participate in The Sound Of Music as Sister Berthe.
Madelyn Burtch (Sister Margaretta)
Madelyn Burtch is a high school student at Oak Farm Montessori School and she is ecstatic to be participating in her second musical there. She enjoys all things theater related, whether that’s being on the stage, being an assistant director, or crafting the stage. She also enjoys things such as reading, listening to music, spending time in the outdoors, and working with animals.
Violet Baughman (Sister Sophia)
Violet is a young actor who enjoys being in many theater productions, including "Cinderella" where she participated in the ensemble, "The Music Man" (ensemble), and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (ensemble). Violet is very exited to play in the "Sound of Music" as Sister Sophia, and can’t wait to be in the next exciting production OFMTC will be doing.
Sami Aljabari (Rolf)
Sami is participating in his second musical as a part of the Oak Farm Montessori Theatre Company. He has previously played an assisting lead role as the prince from Cinderella, Oak Farm's last musical. He enjoys acting, singing, and having the chance to be on the stage. While off the stage, he stays pro-active and energetically spends time with family, his girlfriend and friends, often playing sports and driving around.
Lynn Montgomery (Herr Zeller)
Lynn is not only performing in their first musical, but also their first OFMTC production. They have a more sporty background, enjoying soccer, softball, and basketball, but they are very excited to be part of “The Sound of Music” and future OFMTC productions. When they aren’t at extra-curricular activities, they enjoy planning surprises with their 4 younger cousins and spending time in the barn with their pig, Eliza.
Riley Fitzharris (Franz)
Riley Fitzharris is a Freshman student from OFMS. He has been in 18 plays and this is his 2nd musical with OFMTC. He enjoys outdoor hiking, track, and tennis. Riley is also a Magician--he is a member of the FW IBM (international Brotherhood of Magicians). Riley is also a very passionate member of FFA and is currently the OFMHS FFA Reporter serving his 2nd year as a FFA officer.
Eleanor Merica (Frau Schmidt)
Eleanor is very excited to be performing in one of her favorite musicals. This is her first performance with OFMTC and she wants to thank OFMS for putting it on. Eleanor has been in several other productions, most recently in Cinderella and also as Violet Bick in It's a Wonderful Life. When she is not on the stage, Eleanor fills her days with writing her own musicals, reading, and playing with her family. Now... "climb every mountain, ford every stream, follow every rainbow till you find your dream!"
Claire Brittenham (Usula)
Claire is a sixth grade student at Oak Farm Montessori School. This is her third production with the OFMTC and her very first musical. When she's not acting, you might find her running and competing in track, binge watching her favorite shows/movies, or listening to music. Claire also loves hanging out with her friends even though they were stolen by the middle school, but she is excited to join them next year!
Cooper Lowe (Baron Elberfeld)
Cooper Lowe is a 6th grader at Oak Farm Montessori School and taking part in his second musical performance with OFMS. His first role was Chief Tui in "Moana" as part of our summer camp theatre program and today he returns as part of the ensemble in the "Sound of Music". Cooper plays violin with Fort Wayne Suzuki Talent Education and participates in soccer, basketball, and swimming for OFMS.
Beckitt Lowe (Admiral Von Schreiber)
Beckitt Lowe is an 8th grader at Oak Farm Montessori Middle School. His theatre background includes playing Dr. Tiki in "Camp Paradise", the hilarious Lionel in "Cinderella", Charlie in "The Bugs", Maui in "Moana" all with OFMS, and Pugsley in "The Addams Family" with Summit City Music Theatre. Beckitt also plays viola for Fort Wayne Suzuki Talent Education alongside his siblings. Any extra time is spent shooting hoops with his OFMS friends.
Estella Nivens (Baroness Elberfeld)
Stella has been in numerous theater productions both for OFMTC and Gaslight Playhouse. She loves being in musicals. Outside of her theater life, she likes making/eating food and listening to Violet talk about K-pop. Stella is very excited to participate in the "Sound of Music."
Jacinta Brinker (Frau Zeller)
Jacinta Brinker is excited to be in her first ever musical production with OFMTC. She is enjoying being a part of the theatre scene, but she also enjoys singing in St. Mary’s middle school choir, playing basketball, and learning to sing privately with Carol Resler. Because of this wonderful experience with OFMTC, Jacinta is excited to audition for more theatre productions.
Antonia Rivera (New Postulant)
Antonia Rivera is a foreign exchange student from Chile and a senior at Oak Farm Montessori High School. Antonia returns to the stage this year, after being part of the ensemble in "Cinderella" and stage managing for The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon. In her spare time, she competes on the Cole YMCA Bluefins swim team. After graduation she plans to attend Butler University and study International Business.
Fiona Schoonover (Nun)
"The Sound of Music" is the very first play Fiona has been involved in. She has had no experience with theatre, but was wanting to try something new and thought this would be the perfect opportunity!
Leah Cook (Nun)
Leah has been in 6 musicals and plays. The Sound of Music will be her 7th. Leah enjoys acting in musicals and plays. She also enjoys reading, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.
Ruby Zollman (Nun)
Ruby is acting in her 2nd OFMTC musical. She has previously acted in two middle school plays, Stuck at Home and The Bugs. She has also participated in Cinderella and The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon. When she is not acting, Ruby enjoys swimming, reading, and sleeping.
Darwin Casazza (Nun)
Darwin celebrates The Sound of Music as their Oak Farm Montessori Theatre Company debut! Darwin has been performing since the age of 4 when waking up as Sleepy in a ballet of Snow White and has been active at Fort Wayne Youtheatre since 2019 – The British Goose in Charlotte’s Web being a favorite role! Darwin has acted in a variety of Fort Wayne Theatres, including two devised musical theatre productions through SCORE! at the Embassy Theatre. When not performing, Darwin enjoys writing stories and poetry, reading, creating costumes and Cosplay, and working the concession area for First Presbyterian Theatre and Youtheatre.
Ellen Heineman (Nun)
"The Sound of Music" is Ellen's fourth production with the Oak Farm Montessori Theatre Company. She has enjoyed being a part of "A Friend for Potato", "Pygmalion", and "The Rainbow Fish". Ellen previously took part in Fort Wayne Youth Theatre's production of "The Gruffalo". Now, in Ellen's free time, she enjoys writing her own stories, illustrating, and taking voice lessons at Sweetwater. Ellen is always on the lookout for new productions she can take part in and looks forward to being in more plays with OFMS.
Elaina Nivens (Nun)
Elaina has been in a number of plays and is very happy to be in this one. She has really enjoyed practices for countless reasons and can’t wait for the next play.
Quinn Tyler (Nun)
Quinn has always been in love with theater, ever since she auditioned for Moana Jr. Quinn, while loving the stage and the crowds, prefers to be in the background and likes helping other actors with fixing costumes or lines. When Quinn is not acting or practicing lines, she likes to spend time with her family or, when wants to be alone, she likes to read or draw.
Charlie Wey-Thomas (Nun)
The Sound of Music is Charlie’s 2nd OFMTC secondary production, the first was Pygmalion. In addition, she has performed in other OFMTC plays such as, A Friend for Potato, Somebody Catch my Homework, & The Rainbow Fish. Charlie also has been active in the Fort Wayne Youth Theatre since 2016. When she is not participating in theatre, Charlie loves to write, read, and go thrifting!
