Murder at Cafe Noir Cast

Rick Archer (Austin Schwartz)
is excited to kick off his Sr. year by portraying Rick Archer in Murder at the Cafe Noir. This will be his 15th production at NU and one of his last times on stage as a student. Some of his other extracurricular activities are the Sloppy Joe's Improv Team, writing for the student newspaper called the Vantage, and singing with the Newman choir (chorale/troubadours). Austin wants to take full advantage of what NU has to offer for this year and encourages others to do the same. Especially freshman, "college goes by faster than it seems, enjoy it while you can, and take risks while you can!"
Sheila Wonderly (Rebekah Lipinski)
is once again glad to be sharing the stage with friends. You may have seen her as Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream or as Sophie in Mamma Mia. She has also played Laura in the Glass Menagerie and Paulina in The Winters Tale and several others. She would like to thank Mark for the opportunity to be on stage again and her family for always supporting her. She would also like to thank her very best friend for always having her back, it’s been a blast playing your opposite.
Madam Toureau (Emily Maddux)
is a junior here at Newman and is majoring in History. Previous roles include Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Anne in Richard III. This is her second performance here at Newman and she is thrilled that you are here this evening, even though you're probably only here for the food.
Anthony Cairo (Matthew Clark)
As a senior of English and Theatre, Matthew has a strong appreciation for the Arts and is always happy to be on stage, writing, or celebrating the human story in some other way. As it pertains to the affairs of Café Noir, he wishes to remind guests that if they need anything, he knows a guy for everything.
Maria Larue (Marie Moore)
is a senior biology major here at Newman University. During her time at Newman, she has been involved in Mamma Mia: The Musical, an original production of Dante’s Inferno, and she is a member of the Sloppy Joe Improv Troupe. She is excited to take on a larger role in this dinner-theater production of Cafe Noir. Bon Appétit!
Simon Gutterman (Daniel Knolla)
is a Senior majoring in Biochemistry and is in the process of applying to medical school. He's been in a few productions beforehand, such as Dante's Inferno and Midsummer Night's Dream, and is also a part of Newman's Improv Group, the Sloppy Joes. He's excited to play Gutterman, legal counselor for Cafe Noir, but knowing how Cafe Noir runs, he has a pretty good time ignoring most admissions of crime.
Thursby/Vangilder/Rigfield (Brenden Schwartz)
is excited to be taking part in his first murder mystery production. He’s eager to show case his talent and test his skills by playing a variety of wacky characters all different from characters he’s played in the past. He wishes you luck in figuring out the murder, but you’ll have to figure out who all he plays first! Brenden would like the reader to know that in his bio there is a secret hint as to who the murderer is…or is there?
