FORT HAMILTON ARMY BASE THEATER LOCATION & ACCESS -The Main Entrance to the Fort is at 101st St. & Ft. Hamilton Parkway (John Warren Ave.) open 24/7. The theater is at the end of the main road, past the Police Station (403 John Warren Avenue). Note that Google Maps may lead you to entrances designated as Washington Dr., White Ave., or Poly Pl. These will take you out of the way and close after 6:00 PM. The closest subway stop is the R Train at 95th Street, Bay Ridge and it’s about a 20 minute walk from there to the theater, and is about a 1/2 mile to the entrance to the base. There is free parking next to the theater. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR CAR SERVICE: Harbor View Car Service (718) 680-2500 is the only car service in the area allowed to drive into the Army Base. OTHER CAR SERVICES WILL ONLY DROP YOU AT THE GATE. Plan your travel accordingly. For access to the installation, IAW Army Regulations (AR's) all person(s) over 18 years of age need to provide a valid REAL ID, Compliant STATE issued ID, or license (it cannot say not for federal purpose on it, if it does a second form of ID is required i.e. Social security card...). or a US government issued ID (passport, passport card). If they will be driving on the installation, please advise them they will need a valid registration and insurance card for the vehicle. If you drive, you may also be subject to a random and routine vehicle check (rare) and/or provide your license and registration for the vehicle. Please be prepared with all proper documentation. At no time will personnel solicit payment for access to the base.
