The All Rise Comedy Showcase Cast

Gregory Poole holds a BFA from Howard University’s acclaimed Theatre Arts Department, and has been performing professionally since 1980. As a stand-up comic, his club credits include Catch a Rising Star, The Improv (NY, DC, Miami, West Palm), The Comedy Store (LA) and Caroline’s Comedy Club. As the character ‘Judge Poole’, Greg was the expert legal comic analyst on the Donnie Simpson morning radio show and ESPN 980 Radio’s - The Man Cave. He’s traveled with theatre companies including Nucleus with Attallah Shabazz and the Demi- Gods with Joseph Walker.

Well known throughout the DC Comedy Scene for his booming laugh, Haywood has performed at the Kennedy Center, the DC Improv, has toured internationally and produced a weekly show called 'Attack Of The Comics'. Along with performing as a Stand-Up Comic, Haywood also volunteers as a baseball coach, in South East D.C. where he currently lives with his wife, their four children, and his mother. He also plays the saxophone; a mean game of pinball, and works full time as the Lead Telecommunications Specialist at the National Gallery of Art.
