Craig Lindsay (Floyd "Schoolboy" Barton)
Hailing from DMV, Craig attained his B.A. in Drama & Theatre at NSU, and his M.F.A. in Acting & Directing at UMKC Conservatory. I’m an artist who loves to create in many forms. He sees acting as a form of self expression & exploration while collaborating with others to tell a story that can reach someone in their own way. The work that he loves tends to be both new works and classics because he enjoys the nuance on a known piece of work as much as a breath of fresh air with a new piece. Credits: (Regional) “Julius Caesar” with Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, “Cyrano De Bergerac” & “The Royale” with KC Repertory Theatre, “The Amen Corner” with KC Melting Pot, “Like Six O’Clock” with Just Off Broadway Theatre, “A Soldier’s Play” with The Virginia Arts Festival, “The Tempest” with The Virginia Stage Company. (Educational) “Big Love”, “Topdog Underdog”, “Fixing King John”, and “The Motherfucker with the Hat” with the UMKC Conservatory. “Gem of The Ocean”, and “Once on this Island” with the NSU Theatre Company.
Amber Redmond (Ruby)
Amber Redmond originates from St. Joseph MO, but has called KC home for the past decade. She is a graduate of Missouri Western State University with a B.A.A. in Performance & Cinematic Arts. Amber has been drawn to the arts since a very young age. Her first performances involved forcing her Grandparents to watch her act out the entirety of Walt Disney’s The Little Mermaid (as every character- of course). She has appeared in shows such as Doubt (RRT), Begetters, Secrets & Lies, The Piano Lesson, Fairview, Is God Is The Amen Corner, and The Session (KCMPT). Amber is extremely proud to be working with KC Melting Pot Theatre and would like to thank her family and partner for their constant support and encouragement.
