"Mean Girls, Jr." marks Mr. Diaz's 12th production here as director of Memorial Junior School's annual Spring Musical. In his 19 years teaching English Language Arts here in Hanover Township, he has helmed this wonderful production in two stints, first from 2006-2010 and again from 2016 to the present. This program is a great source of pride for him. He loves the positive experience it provides to all the students who participate in the Spring Musical, and how it has become one of the highlights of the school calendar. Thank you to all of the students who have participated throughout the years, as well as all of the staff who have worked to make this program such a success. Thank you to his wife Jamie for her undying support and patience during the hectic musical season and my family and friends for all of their support, especially his parents who have instilled a love of music in him since the very beginning.

This year marks Mr. Pomel’s 20th year teaching music in the Hanover Township School District and “Mean Girls” is his 7th MJS Spring Musical. He is thrilled to have had this opportunity to work with this incredible cast (including many former students) and is incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication. Mr. Pomel also directs for several local theatre programs and enjoys working with students individually providing vocal coaching and audition prep. As an actor, some of his favorite experiences include Fagin (“Oliver!”), Drake and Burt Healy (“Annie”), Doc (“West Side Story” at WPHS), Rev. Shaw (“Footloose”), “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Little Shop,” “1776,” and “42nd Street.” Mr. Pomel is also a composer published internationally through the Hal Leonard Corp. and an active member of ASCAP. Lastly, Mr. Pomel would like to thank his family and friends for their endless love and support and extend a huge thank you to Mr. Diaz, Ms. Tracy, Mr. Erhard, and the rest of the production team for sharing his passion for musical theatre and for being such a wonderful MJS Musical “family.”

Ms. Tracy is so excited for this year's spring musical "Mean Girls, Jr."! She has been teaching PACT and 7th Grade Reading here at MJS for the last 17 years. During that time, she has had the pleasure to choreograph 14 shows and also serve as the director for 5 productions. In the past, Ms. Tracy has worked as a choreographer for several community theaters and has been a performer in musical theater throughout her life. Ms. Tracy loves working with the students in a creative capacity outside the classroom. She is incredibly proud of this year's cast, and is impressed by their hard work, positive energy, and focus. Thanks to Mr. Diaz and the rest of the production team for putting together a terrific show, and thanks to my family for your continuous support.

Mr. Erhard is in his fifth year here at MJS, teaching Chorus and Orchestra. He is very excited for the opportunity to work on the musical at MJS for the third year! It's always an incredible experience when you get to work with such a great group of people. He would like to thank the other members of the production team, as well as all the talented individuals involved with the cast and crew. Break a leg everyone!

Smaran is a proud swimmer at the Greater Morristown YMCA and a dedicated Stage Manager. He was a part of props crew in sixth grade for the production of "Oliver!" and wished for a role as stage manager ever since. He is also a part of the ensemble in "Mean Girls Jr." He is proud to deliver you a smooth and exciting performance for "Mean Girls Jr."

Sam Berardino is an 8th grader looking forward to more experience as run crew after participating in last year's show. He would like to thank his friends for getting him to try this from the start, and helping him throughout.

I like video games and attempting to cook food. I enjoy watching YouTube and talking to my friends.

Miguel Culan is a 6th Grader who has a million siblings as his friends say but he really has 5. He likes to play soccer with his family in his free time and has a dog named Checca.

Keri Landers is a 7th grade student at Memorial Junior School. This is her first year being in stage crew. Keri likes animals and spending time with her guinea pigs. She enjoys horseback riding and volunteering at a local stable. Keri also plays field hockey and softball. Keri is looking forward to learning more about stage crew during the production of "Mean Girls."

Aashi Shah is an 8th grader here at Memorial Junior School. This is her third year in stage crew with MJS; she was part of props and painting for the previous two years. She enjoys still helping out with props and painting while also partaking in backstage/run crew. She was excited to help out this year once again and hopes you enjoy the show!

Jack is an eighth grader and excited to be a part of the backstage crew in his second production at MJS. He would like to thank his family and Mr. Diaz and the other teachers for devoting their time to MJS productions throughout the years

Zoe Li is a 7th grader at Memorial Junior School. She enjoys music. She plays guitar. Her hobbies are volleyball, sleeping, and procrastinating. She claims she's a dog person but may adopt a cat soon.

I am a 7th grader at MJS and this is my second year as a member of stage crew. Last year during "Oliver!" I worked on curtains and this year for "Mean Girls" I am working the props table

Caitlin is an 8th grader at Memorial Jr School. She played an active role in the stage crew in her three years in middle school, being in props table twice and as curtains in her third year. Joe Grippi is an eighth grader at Memorial junior school doing soundboard. This is his third production at MJS. His first was Matilda. His second was Oliver. He would like to thank all his family and friends, who encouraged him to participate in the play.

I am a sixth grader and this is my first time being involved in a school play. I will be running the sound board. In my free time I enjoy playing the piano, playing soccer, and running track.

Pari is thrilled to be part of the creative team in MJS’s production of "Mean Girls” She is a seventh grader who loves art. Her hobbies include sketching and painting. She really enjoyed showcasing her artistic talents in a new way last year by working on the sets of “Oliver!”; she is continuing this year by working on “Mean Girls”. This is Ananda’s second year of partaking in stage crew. She is currently a 7th grader here at MJS. In last year’s musical, Oliver, Ananda starred as the main hair and makeup stylist. Isabella Pereira is 6th grader here at Memorial Junior School. This is her first production with MJS, as just transferring to the district from East Hanover Township but has worked in 3 other productions in her old district. Her part in the musical has been a key part in making sure our actors look their best and make sure everyone gets what they need. She would like to thank Ridhima Sakpal, Jayline Varela De Leon, Mr. Erhard, and many more in the cast in crew for making her feel warm and welcomed in the school. I am a 7th grader at Memorial Junior school and have been in previous plays like the play "Oliver!" where I played Noah Claypole. I switched to stage crew wanting to see a new experience instead of acting. This can let me see different parts of the play from different angles. Now stop reading and watch the show!

Daphne is a 6th grader, and so exicted to be performing on the MJS stage for her first ever show as Grace. Although not a stranger to the stage she has had 9 years of dance recitals. Outside of school Daphne loves to hang out with her friends, write, and draw. You can see some of her art work featured on the playbill. Daphne would like to thank her sister Margot for being her inspiration for everything and also thank her cousin Kate for inspiring her to get up on the stage.
