Mean Girls Jr. Cast

Veronica Van Slyck (Cady Heron)
Veronica Van Slyck is an eighth grader at MJS who is thrilled to be playing the role of Cady Heron in "Mean Girls." This is her third production at MJS, as she was extremely lucky to be in "Matilda" as a member of ensemble, and to be in "Oliver!" as Charlotte, Milkmaid, and a part of ensemble. She has been taking voice lessons for about 2 years at Schmeed's and would love to give a shout out to her amazing voice teacher Molly. Additionally, she has also done acting workshops at Morristown Performing Arts Center (MPAC), including a fall workshop where she got to play Topanga from "Boy Meets World." She also did a summer workshop called From Page to Stage, where she got to work on an hour and a half show with different musicals like "Les Miserables," "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," and the "Secret Garden" in two weeks. She would like to thank Mr. Diaz for being an incredible director for these past three years and all of the other adults involved in the show for making it fantastic. Also, she would like to thank all of her family and friends who have supported her through this marvelous experience, especially the ones who have traveled halfway across the country to see the show. Gabriella Barsanti (Janis Sarkisian)
Gabby is making her acting debut in this year's production. She was a member of stage crew last year and is thrilled to be a member of the "Mean Girl, Jr." cast. She is a very energetic person. You will never not catch her goofing off somewhere and somehow. You will somehow catch her snacking on food (Leah and Gianna's food btw) since its her favorite thing to do. But behind all that, she is a very hard working person and will put dedication into things she loves.
Alice Susilo (Dominique Hubbard)
Alice Susilo is a 7th grader at Memorial Junior School. Mean Girls Jr. is her 2nd production at MJS. Her small role last year has pushed her to work even harder for this musical. She wants to give a special thanks to her mom and dad who always support her and make sure she gets to all of her rehearsals on time. She would also like to thank the whole cast for making the whole musical experience and every rehearsal super fun and memorable!! Finally, the show could not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Mr. Diaz, Mr. Pomel, Mrs. Tracy, Mr. Erhardt, and the entire crew of Mean Girls Jr, and she is extremely grateful for them. ENJOY THE SHOW!!
Leeya Cohen  (Regina George)
Leeya is an 8th grader here at MJS and is beyond excited to be playing Regina George in this year’s production of "Mean Girls." Leeya was in last years production of "Oliver!" taking on many parts as ensemble, and the year prior she took part in props and painting for "Matilda." One of the things that brings her joy in life is singing and performing on stage. She loves to put a smile on people’s faces and entertain them. Leeya would like to thank her friends, family, cast mates, and directors for their support and help to make "Mean Girls" the best it could be. That being said, sit back, relax, and enjoy "Mean Girls the Musical"!
Chloe Wesbecker (Gretchen Wieners)
Chloe is in seventh grade and this is her second year performing at MJS. She performed in the featured ensemble in last year’s production, "Oliver!". In addition to acting on the stage, Chloe is an avid dancer, plays volleyball, and runs track for MJS. She is very excited to be a part of this play and wishes her cast and crew a wonderful production. She wants to thank her family and friends for their love and support and the teachers for their time making this show.
Michaella Metz (Karen Smith)
Michaella Metz is an 8th grader here at Memorial Junior School. This is her third production with MJS. Michaella performed in "Matilda," where she played the created role of Petunia and Michaella also performed in "Oliver!," where her dance and tumbling skills were highlighted. Michaella has enjoyed performing in the school plays and is so thankful for her teachers and choreographers for their patience and guidance. Thank you to the cast and crew for all the laughs and fun backstage. Michaella would also like to thank her family and her friends for all of their love and support.
Nicholas Zinckgraf (Aaron Samuels)
Nicholas Zinckgraf is a 7th grader at Memorial Junior School. This is his second production with MJS. When he auditioned all he was looking for was a named character but managed to be part of the principle cast, landing the role of Aaron Samuels. He would like to thank Nathan Brown as well as the whole cast for making the play awesome as well as a shout out to his grandparents in North Carolina who could not make it but wishes could be here.
Phoenix Lee (Ms. Norbury)
Phoenix is an 8th grader at here at Memorial Junior School. This is her first year in a production at MJS. She's playing Ms Norbury in this year's "Mean Girls." She was also in props and painting for MJS's production of "Matilda" two years ago. She would like to thank her friends, family, and everyone involved in the show. So, sit back, relax and enjoy!
Gianna Collas (Ms. Duvall)
Gianna is in 7th grade with her second play in MJS.She loves being a part of the play because she can be with her friends after school and make new ones along the way.Gianna is so happy that she got a role this year and is excited for the next!
James Grosso (Kevin G.)
James Grosso is a 6th grader at Memorial Junior school. This is his first production with MJS. He has really enjoyed working with everyone and has made so many new friends in the cast and crew. He really enjoys playing the character Kevin G, since he is very energetic, outgoing, and funny. James wants to thank Mr.Diaz, Mr.Pomel, and Ms.Tracy for making the show as good as it can be! He also wants to thank his mom, dad, and brother for always pushing him to try his best and never give up! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this year's production of Mean Girls! Nathaneal Brown (Shane Oman)
Nate is thrilled to be making is debut on the MJS stage as Shane Oman in "Mean Girls." He loves playing soccer, video games, and with his friends.

Addison Propfe (Mrs. George/Taylor/Ensemble)
This is Addison’s second production on the MJS stage and she is very excited to act alongside her friends in Mean Girls. She loves being a 7th grader at MJS and when she’s not in school, Addison enjoys playing flute, soccer, and softball. She wants to thank her mom, dad, and brother for always supporting her in everything she does.
Alexis Pagulayan (Sonja Acquino/Ensemble)
Alexis Pagulayan is a 7th grader at Memorial Junior School. This is her first time in the cast of an MJS musical, but her second year overall after one year in crew. In this year’s musical, Alexis got a role in the featured ensemble as “Sonja Aquino.” To earn this role, she worked with her sister Alaina, a former MJS actress. Especially giving thanks to her, Alexis is very excited and hopes to perform well in her first musical.
Nadia Benitez (Caitlyn/Ensemble)
Nadia is excited to be back on the MJS stage. She is excited to be a part of the "Mean Girls" cast. Nadia loves to sing, paint, and read. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite season is summer. She wants to thank all of the people who joined the play and mostly Mr. Diaz for directing the play for us.
Sofia Jackson (Rachel/Ensemble)
I am so excited to have been apart of “Mean Girls” and I am very appreciative of everyone who has helped me along the way. I would like to thank my family and friends as they have encouraged me to try out this fun experience, I am forever grateful for you. I hope you enjoy the the show!
Leah Poges (Dawn/Ensemble)
Leah Poges is a 7th grader making her second appearance on the MJS stage. She made her debut as member of the ensemble in last year's production of "Oliver!". Leah is a creative person who loves digital art, reading, and writing.
Daphne Steeg (Grace/Ensemble)
Daphne is a 6th grader, and so exicted to be performing on the MJS stage for her first ever show as Grace. Although not a stranger to the stage she has had 9 years of dance recitals. Outside of school Daphne loves to hang out with her friends, write, and draw. You can see some of her art work featured on the playbill. Daphne would like to thank her sister Margot for being her inspiration for everything and also thank her cousin Kate for inspiring her to get up on the stage. She would also like to give a thanks to her parents for building the awsome sets. Daphne would love to thank her friends, especially the ones on cast and crew for supporting her. She'd also like to thank the rest of her family for their support, and now Daphne invites you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
Olivia Moy (Lizzie/Ensemble/Understudy for Karen Smith)
Olivia is an 8th grader at Memorial Junior School. This is Olivia’s 2nd production at MJS. Her first show being "Matilda, Jr." and being a part of ensemble. Olivia is very excited to be apart of this production of "Mean Girls, Jr" and portraying Lizzie. She would like to thank all her family members from NJ, to NY, and to CA for all their support even though some of them are not able to make it to the show. Not only is Olivia thankful for her family she is also so appreciative of the teachers making this show possible. So, without further ado, I hope you enjoy MJS’s production of "Mean Girls, Jr.".
Gianna DiCaccio (Sophie/Ensemble)
Gianna DiCiaccio is a 6th grade student who loves plays and musicals . From summer programs to school plays , she loves participating in acting. She loves soccer, art, acting, making music, and hanging out with family and friends. Like soccer, a play performance is a team effort. In soccer there is a goal keeper, defense, midfield, and striker. Each role nomader big or small, is important. Even without team support there wouldn't be a team. She believes it takes everyone who is anyone to make the play possible, even the audience. She would like to thank Mom and Dad for their effort to cope with he schedule change everyday, and everything they do for her!
Lauren Wesbecker (Jayden/Ensemble)
Lauren is in 7th grade and this is her first production. She is very excited to be sharing this experience with the cast and crew. Lauren wants to thank her friends and family for their support and hopes she can participate again next year.
Smaran Chennapragada (Mathlete Moderator)
Smaran is a proud swimmer at the Greater Morristown YMCA and a dedicated Stage Manager. He was a part of props crew in sixth grade for the production of "Oliver!" and wished for a role as stage manager ever since. He is also a part of the ensemble in "Mean Girls Jr." He is proud to deliver you a smooth and exciting performance for "Mean Girls Jr."
Amelia Thomas (Marymount Captain/Ensemble)
Amelia Thomas is a 7th grader here at Memorial Junior School. This is her first production at Memorial Junior School. She enjoys playing soccer and basketball. Lukrecja Skarzynski (Caroline Krafft/Ensemble)
Lukrecja Skarzynski is a 7th grader at MJS. This is her second production, her first one being "Oliver!" last year. This year she will be playing Caroline Krafft in "Mean Girls, Jr." as well as ensemble. In her free time she enjoys playing volleyball. Enjoy the show!
Gianna Fabiano (Ensemble)
Gianna is very excited to be on stage this year in "Mean Girls." She was backstage last year in "Oliver!", where she caught the acting bug. Since then, she's performed with A Work of Heart Productions on "Annie Jr," and is currently preparing for her role in "Seussical, Jr." She would like to than her mom, dad, and her friends for making this possible.

Kateryna Pawluck (Ensemble)
Kateryna Pawluk is a 7th grader at Memorial Junior School in New Jersey. This is her first production at MJS and she is very thrilled to be participating. She has previously taken part in acting classes at Mayo Performing Arts School in Morristown NJ.
Sofia Pedreira  (Ensemble)
Sofia Pedreira is a 6th grader at Memorial Junior School. This is her first production with MJS; her first one being "Mean Girls" where she played as apart of ensemble. Her role as ensemble has strengthened her affinity for hard work and dedication as well as an appreciation for the director and choreographer. Brynn Ritacco is a sixth grader at Memorial Junior School. She is very excited to be in this year's musical. It is her first time being in a production at MJS. Paige Ritacco is a 6th grader at MJS. This is her first production. She has always been interested in theater and is very excited to be acting in this years musical. Joshua Rockland is proud to teach Art at both Mountview Road School and Memorial Junior School. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his children Violet and Jude, painting while listening to audio books, watching great TV and movies, dining out, and hiking. He is very proud of all the hard work our MJS students put into "Mean Girls"
Gina-Michelle Rogers (Mrs. Heron)
Ms. Rogers is a 7th and 8th grade Science teacher here at Memorial. She has been teaching in our school for 11 years but this is her acting debut!
Michelle Rizzo (French Teacher)
Mrs. Rizzo is the School Social Worker here at Memorial Junior School. She is making her MJS musical debut and she hopes it won't be her last! She has prior theatre experience and is excited to back on stage. She would like to thank Ms. Monacelli for giving her a crash course in French. She would also like to thank her family for their support, and for tolerating her practicing her lines around the house. She is grateful to the directors for the opportunity to be part of the "Mean Girls" cast.
Emily Gallow (Coach Carr)
Ms. Galow is thrilled to be a part of Mean Girls Jr. This is her first production with MJS, and she is excited to debut in the role of Coach Carr. While she can typically be seen reading books or talking about books with students in the library, Ms. Galow is looking forward to getting her head in the game and tackling the role of Coach Carr. Break a leg everybody!
