Last of the Red Hot Lovers Cast

David Atkins (Barney Cashman)
David is excited to be working once again with CAT! He was last seen as Bill in a River City Communty Players production of “Making God Laugh,” and Sam in CAT’s “Bingo - The Winning Musical.” Other recent roles include King Triton in “The Little Mermaid,” Oliver Warbucks in “Annie – The Musical,” and Jitter in a Swift Creek Mill production of “The Musical of Musicals – The Musical.” Other favorites include George Peters in “Same Time, Next Year,” John the Baptist/Judas Iscariot in “Godspell,” and Julian Marsh in a Dogwood Dell production of “42nd Street.” My deepest gratitude to Freddy, Ann, Susan and our production staff and crew for this wonderful opportunity. My deepest admiration to Mary, Mary Ellen, and Brandy for their patience with me and their brilliance with Barney. Love to my family, Sue and Brian, for their patience and support.
Mary Ellen Fines (Elaine Navazio)
Mary is honored to be cast in her first CAT production. Always wanting to perform on stage, but not being able to as much as she would like, she used the classroom as her stage for many years. She enjoyed the opportunity for fun student-teacher plays at James River High School while she taught there. She was in the ensemble for “Four and Wretched Twenty Dates” at Henrico Theatre Company many years ago, which gave her the itch to get back to acting again. In the past few years, she has performed in “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten,” “Just the Ticket,” “Mama Won’t Fly,” and “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” at River City Community Players. Mary Ellen thanks Fred for this opportunity, and his encouragement and direction for this neurotic character.
Brandy Stevens (Bobbi Michele)
Brandy is thrilled for the opportunity to return to CAT. Previous Virginia credits include “Chapter Two” (Jenny), “Sylvia” (Sylvia), “Our Town” (Emily), “The Dining Room” (Ensemble Player), and “Later Life” (Other Woman). She would like to thank the groovy cast, crew, and creative team for their energy and willingness to play. Brandy would also like to thank her husband and four children for their unending love and support as she pursues her creative passions.
Mary Huhmann (Jeanette Fisher)
Mary is delighted to have the opportunity to perform with this talented cast and crew! Her previous appearances onstage in Richmond include “Nevermore! Edgar Allen Poe: The Final Mystery” (CAT), “Belles: The Reunion,” “Mama Won’t Fly,” and “Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play” (River City Community Players), and “Squabbles” and “The Outsider” (Henrico Theatre Company). She sends her heartfelt thanks to Fred, Susan, Ann and her castmates. And as always, she sends big hugs to her family: Bruce, Alban, and Penelope Huhmann.
