About Student Directed One Acts

Candlelight written and directed by Caleb Smith 

A recently divorced couple goes back to their old family home to split the belongings, but while they are there, a snowstorm cuts their power. With no flashlights, and low charges on their phones, they use the only thing they can find in the house: candles. With time not in their favor, they decide to push through the challenges that the power outage brings. While they search the house to try and find what they want to keep, they find remnants of their past life together and are met with old wounds that are still unhealed.

Get a Clue written and directed by Lilly Garcia 

Following the ‘suicide’ of her father, a teen takes a deeper look into what has happened with her two friends and aunt. Was the death as simple as it seems, or will they find more…malicious intent behind it?

Happily Ever After written and directed by Isabella Dills 

Happily Ever After is the classic story of Snow White with a few tweaks here and there. Things get a little hectic when Snow’s stepmother, Queenie, gets jealous, and then a random guy pops up out of nowhere! But with a little imagination —and help from the narrator— everything turns out just right.

Nevermind written and directed by Chloe Lutz 

Kai stands at the edge of a secret. The struggle pounds at their head every single day. Yet, they can’t find themself sharing it. They won’t allow themself. They decide to talk to 4 people for advice in which they trust could give them honesty on their situation. Will Kai set themself free?
