Liam Ellis has appeared in several film, television, and theatre productions since 2016. He has appeared in Gospel stage-play hits "I Ain't Too Proud To Beg" (2016), "Mama, I Need A Man" (2017), written and directed by the renowned Mike Matthews; and The Toledo Repertoire Theatre's renditions of classics "FENCES" (2019) and "A Raisin In The Sun" (2020). TV favorites such "Empire", and "Chicago PD", and films such as "White Boy Rick". This is his first time directing a Full production for Black Swamp. In July 2021, he was invited to the Talent Inc USA showcase in Orlando, Florida which led to him signing to Manikin Model and Talent Agency. He is now signed with the IGroup, based in Michigan. River is a junior theatre major with a specialization in Acting/Directing at BGSU. They are excited for this opportunity to learn more about directing and get some hands-on experience, especially with such a good team. They previously played Voice 3 on stage at Black Swamp Player in their production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. They’ve also most recently acted in BGSU’s productions of Mojada and Roosters. When they’re not working on theatre things River can be found spending time with their wonderful friends and knitting.

Deb Weiser has worked with Black Swamp Players as actor, director, board member and fund-raiser. For Murder at the Pie Auction, she is part of the producing team and baked several pies. She hopes you win the pie of your dreams in our auction!
