Murder at the Pie Auction Cast

Beth Parker (Phoebe Muffet)
Beth is thrilled to be returning to the Black Swamp Players’ stage. She was last seen as Countess/Magda in War Paint. Other previous roles include Amandine/Philomene in Amelie with The Village Players, Marty in Grease with Grand Rapids Historical Society, Ensemble in She Loves Me and The Music Man with Waterville Playshop, and Ensemble in Parade with Perrysburg Musical Theatre. When not performing, Beth can be found walking her husky together with her husband, solving crossword puzzles, and listening to audiobooks.
Betsy Herman (Minaret Towers)
Murder At The Pie Auction is Betsy’s first foray into murder mystery theatre- she is excited to be part of the amazing team at Black Swamp Players for this production. She is also a big fan of pie, so the chance to perform alongside a variety of delicious baked goods is an added bonus for her. She wants to thank her family and friends for their support and hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Eve Barman (Felicity Hubbard)
Eve Barman is thrilled to be a part of her first show with BSP! A homeschooler in the tenth grade. She’s an OCTA representative and Member of Horizon Youth Theatre’s youth board. Past credits include Lilith in She Kills Monsters, Mr. Krabs in SpongeBob Jr., McGranery in Chaplin: The musical, and Trinculo in The Tempest. Eve enjoys stage managing, playing tennis and spending time with her two horses, Moon and General. She would like to thank her lovely Boyfriend as well as Pip and Luna for always supporting her, both in theatre and life.
Rebecca Williams (Miss Melanie Tucker)
Rebecca is excited to be a part of Murder at the Pie Auction! She has previously been on stage with Black Swamp Players as Dorian Leigh in War Paint and Assistant Directed Jennifer's Birth. She most recently played Florence in Bright Star and Reporter/Parent in The Prom; both with 3B Productions. She loves to sing, and was a member of the Voices at BGSU Choir. Rebecca works for the Pathway Program at Bowling Green State University, and graduated from BGSU's Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management program.
Trevor Walsh (Rex Roberts)
Trevor is once again excited to be on the Black Swamp Stage in this wacky comedy, playing up his Thespian-antics as Rex Roberts! The actor (and newfound pie critic) has recently graced the stage in: Owens Community College's 2024 production of Dead Man's Cell Phone (Gordon), Black Swamp Player’s 2024 production of Jennifer's Birth (Mel Thomas), and Black Swamp Player's 2023 productions of Puffs (Cedric/Voldy). As always, Trevor thanks his family and friends for continuing to support the arts.
Emily Harel (Julia Lyle)
Emily is thrilled to be back on the BSP stage. Previously she was Aunt Sheila/Mimsy in It Shoulda Been You (BSP), Tulip/ensemble in War Paint (BSP), ensemble in Common Grounds (TBD), and Edna/ensemble in Bright Star (3B Productions). In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and guinea pigs. She hopes all enjoy the show and her divaness! Bon appetite!
Rachel Hetrick (Eve Simone)
Rachel is thrilled to be joining the Black Swamp Players for the first time. She’s been seen recently in “Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) (revised) (again)” and “Medusa Undone” both with the Village Players. She is real jazzed that her love of baking, mysteries, and theatre can all come together. Big thank you to friends and family for their support! Enjoy the show!
Justin Michael Newcomb (Roger Marble)
Justin is a newcomer to the Black Swamp Players, but not to the stage. While it has been a some 8 years away from the theatre, you might recognize Justin Michael as the local singer/songwriter named "it'somewhat humanoid!" who has performed around the Bowling Green area for events like Porchfest, the Black Swamp Arts Festival, Firefly Nights, and Art in the Park. He self-describes his music as theatrical folk-pop, as his love for musical theatre is hard to hide. He looks forward to joining the cast for a murderous slice of wild in Mynute, Alaska!
Steve Bishop (Guy Templeton)
... is the natural born son of a clown, and a fourth (or fifth) generation Ohioan, by that blood. The first time he stumbled on stage was to give flesh to the disembodied voice of the late, great Don Pardo; now, he is giddy to breathe snark into "international celebrity" Guy. You may recognize Steve from a previous BSP production (August: Osage County, Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, Mimi’s Famous Card Company, A Curious Incident… ), or possibly a TBD production (Motherhood Out Loud), or mayhaps wandering around “the swamp” (as he is wont to do). When not politely fending off the zeitgeist with all his might Steve indulges many joys, among them: a good night's rest, a fine cup of coffee, a nice walkabout (as mentioned earlier); also, stretching metaphor, with hyperbole, into new forms, and words, like: hyperphor, or metabole. As the future is unknowable Steve hopes you enjoy your time at the show; as well as in the general day to day of it all.
Wendie Kiskaddon (Bidder #1)
After having not performed since high school I’m returning to the stage after 45+ years. I have been lucky to be cast in many Perrysburg Musical Theater productions since 2014. After hearing so many wonderful things about BSP I am thrilled to be a part of this show. Community theater brings together such a diversity of people with a common love. It is a safe space to play, learn and be a part of something bigger than yourself.
Melanie Missler (Bidder #2)
After a long hiatus away from theater, Melanie has embraced, getting back involved anyway that she can. She was involved in many productions throughout college, including Thurber Carnival and Talking With, where she had the honor of becoming Twirler. Recently, she was the dresser for Bari in Be Here Now with the Black Swamp Players. She has had a blast getting back involved in the theater.
Hunter Kazmierczak (Server)
Hunter always had a lifelong passion for theater and the arts and was lucky enough to meet the love of his life, Trevor, through acting. He has had the pleasure to assist and support his fiancé’s many acting adventures behind the scenes and is excited to star in his breakout role as the Server in Murder at the Pie Auction. He’s eager to take on more roles to help make the magic on stage happen as BSP already feels like a second home to him. With Black Swamp Players, Hunter was Stage crew for The Moors, Puffs and Peter Pan on her 70th Birthday. He is also excited to assistant direct this season’s production of Murdering Medea.
Emily Standinger (Eunice Hammond)
Emily is thrilled to be part of this production as Eunice. She is rarely seen on stage, but last worked as the Stage Manager for War Paint in the spring of 2024. Emily also serves on the Black Swamp Player's board.
