While Shakespeare Slept Cast

Mickey Webb (William Shakespeare)
Mickey Webb is a senior at AHS, and their theatre troupe's 2023-2024 secretary. Mickey has been acting for 7 years, participating in 11 shows so far. Mickey has played such roles as Beth in "Little Women," Ethel in "Footloose," among many others. In their junior year, they received an award for participating as Student Director for their fall show, Antigone Now, which placed first in their regional One Act competition. Mickey also won 1st place at Literary Regionals for Duo Oral Interpretation. Now, Mickey plans to give it their all as this show’s lead, Shakespeare. After high school, Mickey wants to write screenplays and continue their acting career.
Victoria Hardy (Mistress Ford)
In her eight-year journey in theater, Victoria Hardy joined Alcovy’s theatre program her sophomore year, earning her first role as Amy in “Little Women,” and later she went to receive an All-Star Acting Award during Regional Competition for her role as Chorus #1 in “Antigone Now.” In her extracurriculars, she participates in track and field and has represented Newton College and Career in FCCLA competition. Victoria has also been a finalist in Governor’s Honor Society. She’s worked in children’s care, and currently volunteers as an assistant athletic trainer at Eastside Highschool. In the future, she wishes to study sports medicine and pediatrics in college. Victoria thanks her parents and her brothers for their support during her journey.
Abbegayl Crooms (Jane)
Abbegayl Crooms is a Junior at AHS. She has been in theater since her freshman year. She made her debut in the 21-22 Spring musical "Little Shop Of Horrors." This is her third year in the Drama program. Abbegayl plans on attending Columbus State for Theatre Arts. Her favorite memory is when she found out she got Jane in the One Act Show. She would like to thank Adam Smith for encouraging her to do theatre; she would also like to thank her best friends for their support to her in the Program. Her advice to future thespians is "Don't let people stop you from doing what you want to do."
Solé Hughes (Juliet)
Solé Kamora-Nichole Hughes has been in theater for two years and is a sophomore. Her favorite part of drama is connecting with others and learning how to develop friendships. Also, she has enjoyed performing with the cast of "While Shakespeare Slept" and "Footloose the Musical." She wants to go to college for theater; she is also an active participant in chorus and jazz dancing. She's known for her smile and her personality (which is very sweet). She wants to thank her mother, teachers, and friends for teaching her how to grow and to be the best she can be and for pushing her to the limit and working hard.
Elizabeth Bryans (Rosalind)
In her seven years involved in theatrics, Elizabeth Bryans joined Alcovy’s theatre program her sophomore year in 2022, where she earned her first role as Meg in “Little Women.” Since then, she has performed in several shows, musicals, and showcases and annually represents Alcovy in GHSA’s Literary Competition in the Girl’s Solo category. Elizabeth has played Chorus #2 in "Antigone Now" and played Vi Moore in "Footloose: the Musical." She dabbles in all categories of fine arts with her artwork representing Alcovy in numerous local showcases as well as competitions, along with her writing pieces. In the future, she wishes to pursue film with a creative writing minor in college. She would like to say thanks her family for supporting her throughout her journey.
Kou Weaver (Lady Macbeth)
Kou Weaver joined Alcovy's theatre program their sophomore year. They have played in "Little Shop of Horrors," "Antigone Now" and "Footloose." Their favorite drama memory is seeing "Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street" at ThesCon in 2023. They were voted Vice President of the Alcovy theatre troupe for the 2023-2024 school year. Outside of school, Kou draws, writes, and aspires to play music in a band. A quote important to Kou was said by Tobias Forge of Ghost: "Once you get people's attention, you have a greater responsibility to tell them something of value." After graduating, Kou plans to go to Georgia Southern University to study theater and film. Kou wants future thespians to know that with confidence you can achieve so much.
Abigail Kitchens (Portia)
Abigail Kitchens is a senior at Alcovy High School. She has been a part of the theatre program all four years of her high school career and is now the president of Troupe #8065 at AHS. She started as a tech member her sophomore year and made her onstage debut her junior year in "Antigone Now." Her favorite role she has played is Principal Clark in "Footloose." She is ecstatic to play Portia in "While Shakespeare Slept." Abigail would like to thank her family, especially her mom, for all of the endless support. After high school, Abigail plans study theatre education.
Gracie Vinzant (Kate)
Gracie Vinzant joined Alcovy’s theatre program during her junior year in 2023. She performed in the teen ensemble in “Footloose: the Musical.” She was inducted into Troupe #8065 of the International Thespian Society in the spring of 2023 and was soon voted as the treasurer for the troupe. This year, she is excited to be playing Kate in the One-Act show “While Shakespeare Slept.” Gracie is also an active member of Alcovy’s FFA organization where she served as an officer her junior year. For her additional extracurriculars, she was a member of Alcovy’s soccer team and currently works as a children’s soccer coach at the Butts County Parks & Recreation. She enjoys listening to music, spending time with loved ones in her free time, and thanks her parents and her three brothers for their support during her high school career.
Mariah Dominguez (Cleopatra)
Mariah Dominguez is the only girl and middle child out of her two brothers. She has been involved in shows & musicals since she was itty bitty. Her very first performance was with Camp Kyles World where she was the youngest performer. Not too long after, she performed for Radio Disney and has only gotten more involved since. Mariah's very first musical performance was when she played Mary in “Madeline’s Christmas.” Later, she was cast as Young Nala In “The Lion King.” Mariah enjoys singing, dancing, acting and songwriting in her free time. She is thrilled to have been chosen as a performer in this year’s upcoming Georgia Thespian All-State Performance is looking forward to being a character role in Alcovy’s One-Act Competition show. Mariah is very happy to be able to have a supportive family: a mother who picks her up from rehearsals and a dad and brother who come and watch her shows. She states that “Her face always lights up when she sees them in the crowd.” Mariah is very happy to be a part of the program this year and looks forward to what’s to come next!
Nathan Mantle (Prologue #1)
Nathan Mantle is an actor, current student thespian officer of Troupe 8065, and a student athlete. Nathan is sixteen years old; he has half a decade of experience in theatre. His favorite character is Willard from “Footloose.” Nathan is currently playing the role of "Prologue #1" and doesn't plan on stopping there. He has several options if theatre doesn't work out. He currently is part of the Alcovy High School Fishing Team, plays baseball, and he also makes his own music. Nathan's favorite quote is: "Fishing is the Sport where you drown worms."
Marcus Aikens (Prologue #2)
Marcus first started theatre arts as a sophomore. He was always interested in the theatre arts and when he finally was a part of it, he loved it. Now he is a proud thespian of troupe 8065. So far he has been Jeter in Footloose and he can't wait to be apart of many more. He wants to become a successful voice actor and create a name for himself. Thanks to Mom for always being there to support him no matter what!
Mariah Cunningham (Mistress Ford/Cleopatra Swing)
Mariah Cunningham is a senior and has been active in theater program since her sophomore year of high school. She has been doing fine arts since the age of 6. She has participated in two musical productions: “Little Shop of Horrors” as one of the Ronette Girls and “Footloose” playing Urleen. She is also active in chorus and the club FCCLA, serving as president for both programs. Mariah's favorite memories from theatre are “Footloose” tech week, ThesCon 2023, and especially all the dancing! She would like to thank her friends for always supporting her and making her last 4 years of experience so much more memorable. Lastly, she thanks her family for all the love they have given her!
Adam Smith (Shakespeare Swing)
Adam Smith is the middle sibling of two sisters. He’s been in theatre since his freshman year and started in our performance of “Hairspray!” The role he is most proud of is King Creon from “Antigone Now.” He has been a part of as many after-school activities as he can, doing lights and sound, even for non-theatre events! Thank you to family and friends for supporting him throughout his theatre career, and a special shout-out to Devin G for supporting him thoroughly during everything he’s done! His favorite memory in theatre is on the final night of “Footloose,” he danced with Gray R as the show ended. His advice for upcoming thespians is “Don’t be afraid to be uncomfortable, it’s needed to become a character that isn’t just you.” A quote by Adam: “Fearing the end of happiness, will create the end of happiness.” Adam plans to go to college at Columbus University, taking advantage of the two year program they offer; using this he plans to become an avid set builder and is currently looking for companies that specialize in set building!
Gray Reymundo (Rosalind Swing)
Gray joined Alcovy’s theater program their junior year. They are Alcovy’s senior stage manager for the 2023-2024 school year. Their favorite memory was going to see “Side Show” at ThesCon 2023! Outside of school, they enjoy reading and listening to music with their cat Moon! They plan to attend Columbus State University and majoring in Theater Acting and Stage/Set Design. Something they want to tell future thespians is: “Just be yourself and have fun!” They would like the thank their best friend Abbe Crooms for always believing in them even when they didn’t believe in themselves. “To be or not to be, that is the question” - William Shakespeare
Carly Hollowell (Kate Swing)
Carly is the youngest daughter in her family. She has big dreams to be an actress and can only wish to help others through the roles that she portrays. She has had many great opportunities such as playing the role of Chorus #6 in the production of “Antigone Now” at AHS. As a junior in high school, she hopes to further her theater experience. Carly is very thankful for her parents Daniel and Tina Hollowell along with her brother Zander Hollowell. She also wanted to mention her best friends Zion Belton, Taylor Langford, Abbe Crooms, Alex Pollett, and Bradley Carpenter.
