  • Practice on your own a LOT.

Stage Crew/Costumes
If your child is interested in stage crew/costumes, we are starting this Monday, January 5th. Times are listed on the rehearsal schedule.

Parent/Family Help Needed

Please SIGN UP to help with different aspects of the production.
Please SIGN UP to help with Tech Week food or donate funds!

These are some of these jobs we need help with:

  • Seamstresses: We are in need of many seamstresses. Please let me know if you are able to help out! We have many costumes to create, ideally three per cast member. We will need to divvy out as many sewing projects as we can and will also need help finding costumes.
  • Advertising: We are looking for business ads to put in our program. Please use your connections to raise money to help with production costs and to cover a trip to NYC, so that it is affordable for everyone.
  • Lighting: We are looking for one person to help teach us about light design.
  • Prop making: Are you creative? Have you made props for stage? We need to make some very big trees for this production, as well as a carriage that moves.

Fundraising Activities

  • We fundraise to expand our educational outreach for our members and to help cover costs for students to travel.
  • Did you know we are sending 12 students (the maximum amount of students allowed) this year to the NY State Theater Education Association Student Conference in January? All but $50/student was covered by club funds.
  • February 17: Please spread the word about a one-day workshop for students in grades 4 - 7. We are raising money to help with transportation costs to NYC this spring. This is a really fun event that is worth the time.
    Register: Theater Workshop form
  • March 7, 2025: Possible Pancakes with Princes and Princesses - a fundraiser at the American Legion (specifics need to be worked out for this)
  • May/June 2025: Dinner Theater Fundraiser (with 8th grade drama club member involvement) - aimed to be an outreach to our MS members and provide an evening of a meal and entertainment. This will give our members a chance to work on their favorite aspects of theater in a different setting.
