Triboro Youth Theatre (TYT) is a dynamic performing arts organization dedicated to fostering cultural enrichment, personal growth, and artistic excellence among young people through immersive experiences, professional collaboration, and inclusive productions.

OUR MISSION:

Triboro Youth Theatre (TYT) is dedicated to fostering cultural enrichment and personal growth among young people through immersive experiences in the performing arts. Our comprehensive programs cater to participants aged four to seniors in high school, empowering them to thrive in acting, musical training, speech, creative movement, and dance. Furthermore, TYT extends opportunities to explore various off-stage areas of theatrical production, encompassing stage crew, set construction, costume design, publicity, internships, and more. As a production-based organization, TYT embraces an effective "learn by doing" approach, fostering collaboration with seasoned professionals and artists.

At TYT, we uphold an atmosphere of professionalism and instill high standards while ensuring participants experience the sheer delight and creative fulfillment that fuel artistic excellence and personal development.

Inclusivity lies at the heart of TYT, where all individuals are warmly welcomed into our productions. Auditions serve as a means to determine suitable roles for each participant. With rehearsals spanning 8 to 12 weeks and most students attending once or twice a week, we strike a balance that accommodates their other commitments, activities, and academic responsibilities.

Since our establishment in 1996, Triboro Youth Theatre has thrived thanks to an exceptional team of dedicated professionals, a steadfast Board of Directors, and a core group of volunteers. We collaborate to create dynamic, professional, secure, and enjoyable productions that reflect TYT's unwavering commitment to excellence.
