The theatre is an important part of our human life.  St. John Paul II, who was a playwright, actor, and poet himself, believed that the arts help us to embrace the gift that is our humanity and helps us draw closer to God as we seek what is beautiful.  Read his letter to artists.  It will inspire you, just at it inspires us.
