Who are the Siouxper Troupers

The Siouxper Troupers is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to strengthening and uplifting the local arts community through meaningful group experiences, while honoring and nurturing each artist’s unique creative voice.
Founded in 2025 by Shawn Shannon II, Logan Leavitt, and Kevin Wintering, the Siouxper Troupers was created from a shared belief: Communitas Ante Ipse (Community above self). We believe collaboration fuels creativity, that artists grow stronger when supported, and that inclusive spaces allow bold, authentic work to flourish.
At the Siouxper Troupers, we bring artists together to create, learn, and connect. Whether onstage, behind the scenes, or in the planning room, we foster environments where creativity is encouraged, risks are welcomed, and individual visions are respected. Our programs are designed to inspire collaboration without sacrificing personal expression—because every artist’s voice matters.
As we continue to grow, we are proud to expand our leadership with additional board members Hope Dunkle, Nick Courtney, and Michelle Smith, whose passion, experience, and dedication help guide our mission forward.
Together, the Siouxper Troupers is building a vibrant, supportive arts community—one project, one collaboration, and one artist at a time.
