Aida Cast

Hello! My name is Ceci Buzzeo and I play the role of Aida. As a Senior this year I have been in shows at the high school including Footloose, Anastasia, and Newsies. I also have been at The Barn Theater in downtown Willmar as Jane Banks in Mary Poppins, Baby June in Gypsy, and as a part of the chorus in Bye Bye Birdie. Aside from theater, I am involved in the Cardinal Orchestra, Cardinal Choir, and I am a captain of the Speech Team. I was a member of the All-State Choir my junior and senior year, and I am Class President as well as Student Council President. I am undecided about which college I will be attending next year, but I am sure that I want to be a part of the music program. A ton of work has been put into this show and I really hope you appreciate and enjoy this amazing and touching musical.

Hi! My name is Malachi Elmhorst. I’m in 12th grade and I play Zoser. I’ve been in a lot of shows, but my favorites have been The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, On Golden Pond, and Shrek: the Musical. I’m also planning to participate in speech this year. I’m not sure exactly where I want to go to college just yet, but I hope to study education and go on to teach high school English. I’d like to thank my cast mates and friends for making this such a fun and welcoming experience, and I’d like to thank all of you for coming. Enjoy the show! Quidquid latine dictum, altum videtur!

Hey! My name is Maggie Anderson, I’m a senior and I play Amneris. I have been in theater since I was six years old and have loved every minute of it. My favorite shows I’ve been apart of are “Newsies”, “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Anastasia”. Outside of theater, I am Vice President of the student council, captain of the speech team, and apart of the 2701 choir. I plan to attend college at the University of Northwestern St. Paul to pursue a degree in nursing and minor in Spanish. Thank you so much for supporting us and I hope you enjoy the show!

Hi my name is Emma Villnow, I’m a senior in high school, and I play Nehebka! I have also been in Footloose and Newsies at the Willmar High School, as well as our middle school productions. I am also involved in the Barn Theatre, and have been in Mary Poppins as Jane Banks, A Christmas Story as Esther Jane, The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever as an Angel, and many more. Outside of musicals, I am in 2701 and in the all girls Choralaires choir as the Alto 1 section leader for 2 years in a row. Hello my name is Diego Ian Chavez, I’m a senior, I like doing musicals apparently, I smell pretty nice, and I LOVE gum. I canNOT believe this is my last show, I’ve been doing these shows ever sense middle school. These have been the best years of my life and I’m very happy I’ve been given the opportunity to continue doing them. I hope you all enjoy the show and remember to give me all of the roses because that would be pretty cool, maybe through in some cash on the side. Hey, my name is Josh Jensen and i am a senior at Willmar High School. I play the role of the Pharaoh this year. I have been in Aladdin Jr., Newsies, and Footloose. I am also involved in Tennis and Trap Shooting. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and hanging out with my friends, singing as loud as we can in our cars. i have not decided on a final college but i have considered NDSU, Concordia, St. Cloud State as Choral Director. I guess you could say singing is my strongest suit ;)

Hi there! My name is Maeli Carlson and I am a senior. I am playing a chorus member. I’ve been in many musicals in my past including Charlotte's Web, The Frog Prince, and The Princess and the Pea at the barn theater. I’ve also been in Cinderella and Jack and the Beanstalk with Prairie fire and let’s not forget about Willy Wonka jr, Aladdin jr, Newsies, and Footloose with Willmar schools. Well hello, I'm Rae Holwerda and I'm a Senior. I am a part of the chorus this year. I’ve been in the chorus for the shows Newsies and Anastasia, I was also Betty Blast in Footloose. Not only am I in the Cardinal choir, but I'm also in the Cardinal band where I play the Alto Saxophone. While I’m a part of the musicals, I’m also a part of the Willmar Speech Team where I compete in the category of Informative. I will be attending either Gustavus or North Dakota University to get a degree in mathematics and possibly getting a minor in English. Everyone in this cast has put in a tremendous effort to make this one for the playbook. Sit back and enjoy the show and make sure to eat-a snack at the intermission.
