D.B. Hovis is a director, designer, and actor from Southern California. He earned his M.A. in Theatre Production at Central Washington University and studied acting at the Professional Conservatory at UCSD under Anna Shapiro (Steppenwolf) as well as South Coast Repertory under Karen Hensel. He is the co-founder and former artistic director of the Culver City Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, where he developed an intensivearts program for high school students in theatre, film, music, and art, and has gone on to develop theatre programs at other Southern California high schools, as well as Theatre International at Leysin American School in Leysin, Switzerland. As a resident artist with Chance Theater, he serves as Director of Teen Speak-Up and TYA Producing Associate. TYA productions include ALICE IN WONDERLAND, THE LEGEND(S) OF SLEEPY HOLLOW, THE BOY AT THE EDGE OF EVERYTHING, A WRINKLE IN TIME, and JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH. Other directing credits include THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, THERESE RAQUIN, THE ANGELINA PROJECT, and A HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN FILM(ChanceTheater), RENT and THE THREE PENNY OPERA(Samohi Theatre), MACHINAL and RESURRECTING ANTIGONE (UniTheatre), TREEHOUSES, THE MIRACLE WORKER, INTO THE WOODS, and THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS ON MAN-IN-THE-MOON MARIGOLDS (AVPA). Torrance High Theater productions include THE CRUCIBLE, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, A WRINKLE IN TIME, SHE KILLS MONSTERS, TRIANGLE, LOST GIRL, and MEAN GIRLS.

Shannon A. Kennedy is a Los Angeles based artist, musician and designer who's work has been seen across major theater stages in Southern California. Past credits include MACHINAL, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, and THE THREE PENNY OPERA. Her work with THS Theater include THE CRUCIBLE, A WRINKLE IN TIME, SHE KILLS MONSTERS, TRIANGLE, LOST GIRL, and MEAN GIRLS. She is also a multi-instrumental musician performing with J. Borges in the noise band PEDESTRIAN DEPOSIT.

J. Borges is a Los Angeles based sound designer and musician. They are the founder and co-member of the band PEDESTRIAN DEPOSIT along with Shannon A. Kennedy. Past sound design credits include MACHINAL, and THE CRUCIBLE.

Mr. Sluyter has worked as director, vocal director, lighting designer, conductor, and even performer in such THS shows as THE CRUCIBLE, A PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, SHE KILLS MONSTERS, TRIANGLE, LOST GIRL, MEAN GIRLS, SHREK THE MUSICAL, SEUSSICAL, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, ROMEO AND JULIET, and WHODUNNIT …AND TO WHOM? He is the vocal and acting teacher at Ambassador High School in Torrance where he has directed GUYS AND DOLLS, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, INTO THE WOODS, LES MISERABLES, and GODSPELL. As an actor, he has performed in such musicals as: A FUNNY THING HAPPENED…, GUYS AND DOLLS, INTO THE WOODS, PIPPIN, and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. Mr. Sluyter has a B.A. in Theatre from Grand Canyon University.

Dani is a sophomore here at Torrance High school. They are ecstatic to work as stage manager for MOLLY DENHOLTZ . Dani previously worked as prop master during MEAN GIRLS, and in tech for LOST GIRL. They are also interested in other forms of artistic expression, such as dance and illustration.

MOLLY DENHOLTZ marks Zakary's third mainstage Torrance High production. He also appeared in ALL OUT and directed SHATTERED for Night of the Arts. He previously appeared in LOST GIRL, SHE KILLS MONSTERS and TRIANGLE. He would like to thank Mr. Hovis for being such a beam of light in the midst of immense darkness and for trusting him by giving him the opportunity to direct.

Joey, a sophomore at Torrance High, is an interesting little fellow. He is very excited to help in his first year of theater productions, working backstage as a prop head. He is artistic in many ways and will try almost anything for new, fun experiences.

Sam is happy to be back doing tech for MOLLY DENHOLTZ. Previous shows include LOST GIRL and MEAN GIRLS THE MUSICAL

Axel is a Junior at Torrance High. He is excited to be a part of the play and assist the stage manager.

This is Koa's second year in the Torrance High Theater Department. Past credits include LOST GIRL and MEAN GIRLS THE MUSICAL. He is excited to be a part of MOLLY DENHOLTZ.
