Francesca Reggio (Olympe de Gouges)
Francesca is thrilled to be on stage in her first production with Theater Knoxville Downtown. Since moving to Knoxville from Los Angeles, she has had the pleasure of performing with several local theater companies including Oak Ridge Playhouse, Theater 23, and The Word Players. Recent stage credits include Thespis Thinks, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The League of Youth (staged reading), As It Is In Heaven, and The Jane Austen Experience (First Take Co.). Francesca is also a musician and vocalist and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. She is a member of the Knoxville Choral Society and, during the holidays, a professional Christmas Caroler. When she’s not performing, she is most likely traveling or spending time with family. She’s very grateful to the amazing cast and production team for this wonderful experience and to her family and friends for their support! And finally, thank you to the audience for supporting local theatre. If you didn’t know, “Story is the heartbeat of humanity,” and I sincerely hope you enjoy this one!
Joyce Jones (Marianne Angellle)
Joyce A Jones as Marianne Angelle- excited to be back on the TKD stage. Her first performance here was as Mickey the Cop in The Odd Couple:Female Version. Joyce comes to us from Youngstown, Ohio where she made her home until moving here in 2019. She has been involved both on and off stage at The Youngstown Playhouse (where she was also resident light board operator for 5 seasons and Box Office Assistant), Hopewell Theater, Rust Belt Theater, The Oakland Center for the Arts (where she also served on it's Board), and Top Hat Productions (where she was resident Stage Manager for 10 years). Joyce is presently Stage Manager at The Opera Western Reserve (where she commutes back to Ohio once a year). Joyces most recent off stage productions were SM for Sister Act, Amazing Grace and Little Shop of Horrors at Top Hat Productions, and A Raisin in the Sun at Hopewell Theater. In addition to The Odd Couple, Her recent onstage productions where A Wrinkle in Time as Mrs. Who at Hopewell Theater and The Crucible as Tituba also at Hopewell. Joyce has also traveled to LA and stage managed with Ebony Fashion Fair, and Orlando as SM for Cultural Fusion. She has had the opportunity to work backstage with actors Malik Yoba, Jackee, Angela Bofill, Jeff Conway, and Barry Williams. Joyce most recently filmed Sins of the City and Fatal Attraction for TvOne right here in Knoxville, has done local commercials in the Youngstown. She is presently employed at Fresenius Kidney Care as a Hemodialysis Tech and continues to work as Entertainment Coordinator for Selah Restaurant in Youngstown remotely.
Angel Orenstein (Charlotte Corday)
grew up in South Dakota, moving to Knoxville in 2019. She started acting at age 5 growing into larger roles & developing a lifelong passion for acting. Most recently she portrayed Barbara (Night of the Living Dead Live), Gwen (The Importance of Being Earnest), Renee (The Odd Couple (Female Version)), Deidre (I Hate Hamlet), Elizabeth (Jekyll & Hyde), & Sally in (Puffs).
Rebecca Gomez (Marie Antoinette)
Rebecca is thrilled to return to the TKD stage for the 19th time! Recent appearances include Cactus Flower at TKD and Nine at the Oak Ridge Playhouse. She has a BA in Theatre from UT and has performed with numerous local companies as well as directed for TKD. She would like to thank Courtney, Zoe, and the revolutionary cast and send love and appreciation, as always, to David.
