About Urinetown

In a Gotham-like city, a severe water shortage caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities regulated by a megalomaniacal company, Urine Good Company, that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Working in the filthiest restroom in town, a hero falls in love and decides he has had enough, planning a revolution to lead them all to freedom. Winner of three Tony Awards, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire about capitalism, social irresponsibility and environmental collapse.

Both wickedly witty and touchingly honest, Hollmann and Kotis’s irreverent musical reinvigorates the idea of what a musical can be. Music and Lyrics by Mark Hollmann Book and Lyrics by Greg Kotis

Warning: Contains staged violence and mild adult language.

It is now utilized as a gallery and a flexible event space for cultural events, workshops, meetings, independent artists, musicians, dancers, and event planners. It stands as one of the few venues dedicated to access to affordable and dignified performance and event space.
