About Jon Wayes Comic Hypnotist Show
From struggling college drop-out to growing his own entertainment agency in the Midwest, Jon Wayes turned his love for entertaining into a year-round career. What started as an 8 year old dream with a magic kit, turned into what his family viewed as an unlikely-yet-successful story of their first entrepreneurial family member.
Based near Chicago, Jon Wayes Corp regularly entertains house parties, campus events & corporations coast-to-coast. To-date, Jon Wayes Corp has entertained virtually every event you can think of between California to New York as a Magician, Mentalist and Hypnotist.
2008-2016
Starting professional magic in the early 2010's, Jon saw the demand for hypnosis grow and went to Vegas at 19 for professional mentoring. Years later, Jon received his first repeat client after agreeing to develop a new hypnosis show. Jon's "New-Age" hypnosis experience was born, where audiences received the unique opportunity to steer the show's outcome in real-time. This modernized approach made Jon more popular on the College and High School markets leading into the 2020's.
2016-2023
As Jon's New-Age hypnosis grew in popularity, he started a training brand (HypnoKick) to help hobbyists reach their hypnosis goals. Due to demand for advanced training. Jon built an advanced program (HypnoKick University) where students can become Certified New-Age Hypnotists within 6-12 months.
2023-2025
After winning "Top Hypnotist" in 2023 and 2024 thanks to his C.L.E.A.N System®, Jon started consulting Magicians, Hypnotists, DJs and other live entertainers to help them scale their dreams. In 2024, he helped a Texas Magician double their income within 30 days, then achieve their first $6000+ month. Jon still entertains, consults & mentors to this day.
The Monroe Theatre
Legacy of the Historical Monroe Theatre
The Historic Monroe Theatre first opened its doors on a chilly Saturday in December 1939. It was the vision of the formidable Mrs. Mena Fliehman, who established it as the premier place to see a movie and a legendary stop for live entertainment.
The Monroe’s stage became a launching pad for future stars and an essential venue for traveling talent. Long before they were household names, icons like Bill Monroe, Hank Snow, and Minnie Pearl graced our stage. Most famously, a 15-year-old girl named Virginia Patterson Hensley, who we all know now as the sensational Patsy Cline, performed here in 1946.
Though the curtains sadly closed in 1977, the spirit of the theatre never left. After sitting dormant for decades, the Monroe was lovingly gifted to the Monroe Arts Council in 2016. A team of dedicated volunteers immediately began the challenging work of cleaning, restoring, and bringing this gem back to life.
Today, the Monroe Theatre is alive again, serving as the cultural cornerstone of Southeast Ohio. Thanks to incredible community support and recent transformative grants, including $4.6 million from the Appalachian Community Grant Program, we are undertaking our full restoration. This project ensures we can continue to host the next generation of musical legends while preserving our history for decades to come.
