Rocket to Uranus brings the spirit of the 1960s roaring into the present with a set that’s equal parts nostalgic and wildly fun. Blending covers from artists like Henry Mancini, Nancy Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Ventures, 13th Floor Elevators, The Troggs, Etta James, and Sam and Dave with original songs that feel straight out of the space-age era, their sound pulls from surf rock, spy themes, early soul, gospel, garage, and psychedelia.

Formed in Helena in 2011, the band has built a reputation across Montana for high-energy, danceable shows that don’t take themselves too seriously but always deliver. Their performances are packed with personality, unexpected twists, and a groove that keeps the floor moving all night.

With a lineup featuring flute, bass, keys and keytar, drums, and guitar, plus shared vocals across the group, Rocket to Uranus creates a layered, vibrant sound that feels both retro and fresh.

If you’re closing out the film festival, this is where the party keeps going.
