9 to 5: The Musical Cast

Sanaa Cherry (Violet Newstead)
is a senior drama major in the Performing Arts academy. Sanaa enjoys singing, writing and reading, apart from performing. This is her third musical at ACIT. She has previously performed in Aida as a featured ensemble member and Seussical as Yertle the Turtle as well as a featured dancer. She is also a member of ACIT’s Choir, ITS Coordinator of ACIT’s Drama club and an International Thespian Society member herself. After graduating, Sanaa intends to go to college to pursue her love of filmmaking. Sanaa is super excited to see 9 to 5 come to life. She would like to thank Mr. McInnis and Ms. Dennis for all the hard work to make the show the best it can be. A huge thanks to her family and friends for their support and encouragement. Lastly, she would like to especially thank Mrs. Volpe for her dedication to the show, her guidance and belief in her.
Katelyn Lamaina (Judy Bernley)
is a senior vocal major in the Performing Arts Academy. When she’s not preparing for a show, Katelyn enjoys spending time with her friends. Katelyn is president of ACIT’s Concert and Chamber Choirs, and vice president of ACIT’s drama club. Katelyn has also been seen performing at Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point. Previous credits include: Jojo in Seussical, Mary Sunshine in Chicago, Featured ensemble in Aida, and Sergeant of Police in The Pirates of Penzance. She is also a proud member of the International Thespian Society, along with the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. Katelyn would like to give lots of love to her cast for making her senior show a one to remember, and her family for always supporting her no matter what. She would also like to give a huge thank you to her directors for all their hard work and for giving her the opportunity to do what she loves, and a special thank you to Mr. McInnis for being her biggest cheerleader.
Emmaline Santo (Doralee Rhoades)
is a Junior in the Academy of Performing Arts Vocal academy at ACIT. She has performed in multiple productions including Cabaret Nights, Winter Concerts, Showcases, and Competitions. She has performed in Aida as a part of the ensemble at ACIT, Chicago as part of the ensemble at Gateway Playhouse, Into the woods as Steward at Eagle Theatre, And in Seussical as Mrs. Mayor, Part of the ensemble in Mama Mia! At Eagle Theatre. She also got inducted as a member of the international thespian society last year. Other than performing, she loves to do her hair and makeup. Emmaline would like to thank her mom for all the rides home from rehearsal, and all the love and support she's given her and she hopes to make her proud. She would like to thank Mr. Mcinnis for being so helpful and patient with her, And Ms. Volpe for always being so supportive and understanding. This musicals means a lot to her and she is extremely grateful to be given this amazing opportunity.
Lucien Santoro (Franklin Hart, Jr.)
is a junior in the Vocals Academy of Performing Arts. This is his third time performing in the musical at ACIT. He can also be seen on stage performing in choir, chamber choir, and drama club, as well as hosting Mr. RedHawk two years in a row. He wants to give all of the credit to the directors for making this show not only possible, but a reality. Lucien is excited to perform, and hopeful that both our stage crew and internal management crew receive all the love they deserve.
Emma St. Dennis (Roz Keith/ Dance Captain)
is a junior Drama major in the Academy of Performing Arts. This is her third musical production at ACIT and she could not be more excited for her first principal role! Her previous credits include: Wickersham Brother in Seussical, Dance Captain in Mamma Mia!, & Featured Dancer in Aida. She is also an avid member of the Drama Club & International Thespian Society. When Emma is not in school, she can be found dancing at The Arts Of The Dance Centre in Vineland, reading, or listening to music. Performing is Emma’s biggest passion and she would like to thank Mrs. Volpe, Mr. McInnis, Ms. Chambers, Ms. Dennis, and Mr. Morey for teaching her how to expand her craft every day, always caring so much about the cast & crew, and making this such an incredible learning experience to remember!
Jacob Perlman (Joe/ Featured Dancer)
is a sophomore Vocal major in the Performing Arts Academy. Some of his other credits include Theo in Pippin, Wickersham Brother in Seussical, and Ziegfeld Tenor in Funny Girl. Jacob can also be seen in Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Drama Club, and dance at Leslie's Dance Studio. He would like to thank his family, friends, as well as Mr. McInnis, Mrs. Volpe, Ms. Dennis, and Ms. Chambers for supporting everything he does!
Nash Orlov (Dwayne Rhoades)
is a Senior in the Computer Science academy. This is his first musical (and most likely his last). He’s really excited to be in the show as he thinks it’s fun to do these shows. Nash was a Mr. Redhawk Contestant this year and also was in the ACIT Talent Show. He’s done a lot of theater stuff as he figured out he could sing, thanks to help of Mr. Mclnnis and others. I’m thankful for all the people that have helped me this year to be at my best for these shows such as Mrs. Volpe, Mrs. Dennis, Mr. Mclnnis and Mr. Costantino. He’s really excited for the show and hopes that you enjoy and wishes everyone in the cast to do amazing and to shine!
Braiden Simmons (Josh Newstead/ Ensemble)
is a sophomore Drama major in the Academy of Performing Arts. This is his first musical production at ACIT. He's excited to be in his first speaking role at ACIT. He would like to thank his family/friends, also Mr. Mcinnis, Ms. Dennis and Mrs. Volpe for pushing him forward as an actor, and encouraging him to be in this production.
Valerie Acevedo-Martinez (Missy Hart/ Ensemble)
is a sophomore Drama major in the Academy of Performing Arts. This is her first year in drama and her first musical here at ACIT. She is extremely excited to be performing again! Valerie is a member of ACIT’s drama club, as well as the choir club. When she isn’t performing, she can be found reading a book or out shopping for more books. She has been loving this experience and has made so many new friends along the way and can't wait for everyone to see the show! She would like to thank Mr. McInnis, Mrs. Volpe, and Mrs. Dennis, her family, and would like to give a special thanks to her friends who motivated her to do the musical!
Jessica Jones (Maria/ Featured Dancer)
is a senior Vocal Major in the Academy of Performing Arts. This is her third musical at ACIT, previously involved in Aida as featured dancer and Bird Girl #2 in Seussical. She is also a member of the ACIT Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, and was previously a member of the All South Jersey Chorus in sophomore and junior year. After graduating, she intends to go to college and major in Music Education. Aside from performing, Jessica loves spending time in nature, hanging out with friends, listening to music, and learning new instruments. She would love to thank Mr. McInnis, Mrs. Volpe, Ms. Dennis, Mrs. Mick, and Ms. Chambers for creating such a safe space, and giving us all the opportunity to showcase our talents and what we love to do.
Syncere Sewell (Dick/ Ensemble)
is a sophomore in the CADD Academy. This is the second musical he will be doing with ACIT and he is pumped to be doing this again for another year. Last year he was jungle ensemble in Seussical the Musical. He had so much fun last year in rehearsals and the shows and can’t wait to replicate the same energy with the new crew and cast. He loves each bit of what goes into performing in a musical and the adrenaline rush of being on the stage with people watching is really like a utopian vacation escape. Outside of all the performing, he is a very hard-to-miss guy who always walks around with confidence and has a high on life. He takes things day by day, balancing school, musical, work, family and friends time, and others. He would love to give thanks to his teachers who have not only made him better but motivated him, Mrs. Volpe, Ms. Chambers, Mrs. Mick, Ms. Dennis, Mr. McInnis, Mrs. Ernst, and Ms. O’Conner. He would also love to thank his parents, brothers, family, and friends for all their support and never letting his spirit die. Lastly, he would love to thank the audiences who come out to see them!
Danna Castillo (Kathy/ Featured Dancer)
is a sophomore Vocal Major in the Academy of Performing Arts. This is her second musical at ACIT, previously being a bird girl in Seussical. Performing is a very important part of Danna’s life and she is so grateful to constantly learn and improve alongside such talented and kind people who also share a love for performing. Aside from being on stage Danna loves art, music, and being in nature. Danna would like to thank the cast for all the memories they have shared throughout this production. As well as Mr. McInnis, Mrs Volpe, and Ms Dennis for all their support, patience and hardwork in order to make the show possible. Lastly she would like to thank Ms. Chambers for always believing in her.
Katherine Geary (Margaret/ Ensemble)
is a senior Drama Major in the Academy of Performing Arts. This is her fourth and final musical here at ACIT, having performed in Tuck Everlasting, AIDA, and Seussical (Vlad Vladikoff). In addition to the annual Cabaret Night, Drama Showcase, and Winter Concert. She has also performed in Into the Woods (Lucinda) and Mamma Mia! (Eddie) at the Eagle Theatre in Hammonton. Katherine serves as President of the Drama Club and is a member of the International Thespian Society and Concert Choir. Other than theater, Katherine loves fashion, listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with friends and her dog. After graduation she plans on going to college to receive her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Acting. She would like to thank Mrs. Volpe, Ms. Chambers, Mr. McInnis, Ms. Dennis, and Mr. Morey for teaching her so much about the art of performance, as well as her fellow cast members for being wonderful people and for giving her so many great memories. She hopes you enjoy 9 to 5 as much as she enjoyed being a part of it!
Esmeralda Galindo (Co-Worker/ Ensemble)
is a senior Vocal Major in the Academy of Performing Arts. This will be her second musical at ACIT previously casted as cadet and ensemble in Seussical. Esmeralda is involved in ACIT’s Chamber and Concert Choir. She has also participated in ACIT’s annual cabaret night, winter concert, spring music concert and vocal showcases. After graduation she plans on going to Stockton majoring in psychology. She would like to thank Mr. McInnis, Mrs. Volpe, and Ms. Dennis for all the help, guidance, and putting together another great show. She would like to thank her sisters for the constant love and support.
Destanee Bright (Co-Worker/ Ensemble)
is a senior Vocal major in the Academy of Performing Arts. In and out of school, she can be seen singing, and making jokes everywhere she goes. Previously, she performed as a Jungle Citizen in Seussical. Destanee is also vice president of ACIT’s Concert Choir and Chamber Choir. When Destanee isn’t performing, she’s either hanging with her family or online shopping. When Destanee graduates, she wants to further her career and major in Musical Theater at college. She would like to thank her wonderful teachers Mr. McInnis, Mrs. Volpe, and Ms. Dennis for all their hard work and motivation they give to her. She would also want to thank her mom for all of the endless love and support she continuously gives every day. She would lastly like to thank her castmates for always making rehearsals super fun and memorable for her senior year!
Will Leiby (Bob Enright/ Ensemble)
is a Junior in the Performing Art, Drama Academy. Previous ACIT credits include Aida, Seussical (The Grinch), The Dining Room (Father Russel/Standish), and Cabaret Night. He has also done productions outside of school with Fool Moon Theatre, as Jay in Lost in Yonkers. Will loves the experience of coming into rehearsal everyday and wants to thank all his fellow cast members for being the cause of such great memories.
Jack Parrish (Tinsworthy)
is a junior Drama student in the Performing Arts Academy. He has been studying theater, drama, dance and vocals since the age of 6. Jack has been in multiple stage productions including Fiddler on the Roof (Sasha), Shrek (Jack), Bye Bye Birdie, Footloose, and Grease with Margate Players, It’s a Wonderful Life (Peter Bailey) with Ocean City High School. Lion, Witch and The Wardrobe (Dwarf), High School Musical (Ripper), Annie (Bert Healy), The Little Mermaid (Chef Louis/The Duke of Soul), and Aladdin (Jafar), with Sojourn Productions. GTMS productions of Honk (Turkey) and School House Rock! (George). Jack has starred, written and student directed over a dozen plays at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church productions. Jack has been in ACIT productions of Aida, Suessical (General Schmitz) and The Dining Room (Grandpa). Jack’s performed in the Independent films Living A.D., Prep, Specter of Destiny (Omarion Thane) and soon to be released Tate’s Eyes (Henry). Jack can be seen in the feature films Armageddon Time and Inappropriate Behavior, as well as the 2nd season of HBO’s And Just like That. Jack is the stage combat director for South Jersey Players. You can next see Jack as the Tinman in Sojourns Production of The Wizard of Oz (in April) and SJ Players Aroma DInner Theater (March through April). Elsa Cohen (Featured Dancer (Dance Captain))
is a sophomore Vocal Major in the Academy of Performing Arts. When she is not performing you can find her dancing at Leslie’s Dance Studio or hanging out with her friends. Previously she performed as Violet in Willy Wonka Jr. and featured dancer/hunter in Seussical. Elsa is also involved in ACIT’s choir. Elsa would like to thank Ms. Volpe, Mr. Mcinniss, and Ms. Dennis for all of their support throughout this amazing show.
Abby Lockerbie (Featured Dancer (Dance Captain))
is a junior Dance major in the Academy of the Performing Arts This is her second show with ACIT. Last year she was a Featured Dancer in Seussical. Abby is also the librarian of ACIT’s Concert Choir and Secretary of ACIT’s Drama club. She is also a proud member of the International Thespians Society. When not at school Abby can be found dancing and competing at Miss Margot's Ensemble Arts. When not performing or training she can be found reading, painting, or listening to music. Abby would like to thank Mrs. Volpe, Mr. McInnis and Ms. Dennis for all of their hard work and support they have shown her. She would also like to thank her castmate for being supportive and so hard working throughout rehearsals. She would lastly like to thank her mom for being so supportive and always supporting her dreams.
Lindsey Hartman (Featured Dancer)
is a sophomore Vocal major in the Academy of Performing Arts. When Lindsey is not in school she enjoys dancing, hanging out with her friends, and drawing. Other than the musical, she takes part in ACIT’s Concert Choir. Besides ACIT performances, Lindsey can be seen in annual dance recitals with The Arts of The Dance Centre in Vineland. Lastly, she would like to thank Mr. McInnis, Ms. Dennis, Mrs. Volpe and Ms. Chambers for their amazing support and kindness through everything!
Hanna Kuniewcz (Featured Dancer)
is a sophomore in the Academy of Media Production and Graphic Design. When she is not performing, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, dancing at Miss Margot’s Ensemble Arts, shopping, as well as watching movies. Last year, she had the role of Featured Dancer in Seussical. She is also the Historian of ACIT’s Drama club. Hanna would like to thank Mrs. Dennis, Mr. McInnis, and Mrs. Volpe for the dedication they have put into the show, and kindness they have shown throughout the entire production. She would also like to thank her castmates and crew for being so fun to be around during rehearsals and working hard. Finally, Hanna would like to thank her mom for all of her support.
Ashley Gallardo (Featured Dancer)
is a senior in ACIT’s Vocal academy. When she’s not on stage, Ashley likes to hang out with her best friends, go shopping, and play the sims. Ashley was a part of last year's musical, Seussical, as featured dancer as well. She’s also a part of ACIT’s Concert Choir and Chamber Choir. Past performances include Cabaret’s, Vocal Showcases, and Spring Concerts. After graduation, Ashley plans to go to college and major in Political Science. Ashley would like to thank Mrs. Volpe, Ms. Dennis, and Mr. McInnis for all their dedication and work on the show. She would also like to thank her brother, Mariano, Nas, and her sister, Jaden, for coming to all of her performances and supporting her. Lastly, she would like to thank Sam and her best friend, Faith for telling her to keep doing what she loves.
Braelin Senn (Ensemble/ Detective )
is a sophomore Vocal major in the Academy of Performing Arts. When she is not performing, Braelin enjoys watching movies and Netflix, hanging out with friends, listening to music, and playing instruments. Previous musicals of hers include Matilda (Michael/Ensemble) at Fernwood Avenue Middle School, Seussical (Marshal/Jungle Ensemble) at ACIT, and Mamma Mia (Ensemble) at Eagle Theatre. Braelin is also involved in ACIT’s Concert Choir and ACIT’s Drama Club, as well as the International Thespian Society. She would like to thank her family for always being supportive of her dreams and coming to every show. She would also like to thank Mr. McInnis, Ms. Dennis, Mrs. Volpe, and everyone involved in production for making this show come to life! Braelin would also like to give a final thanks to Ms. Chambers, who always encouraged her and made her feel like she could accomplish anything.
Jordan Edwards (Ensemble/ Doctor)
is a sophomore Drama Major in the Academy of Performing Arts. When she is not performing, Jordan likes to read books, hang out with friends, or listen to music. Previous credits include: Jungle Citizen in Seussical at ACIT, and Taylor McKessie in High School Musical Jr. with the Lenape Players at William Davies Middle School. Jordan is also one of the Secretaries for the Drama Club, and sings in ACIT's Concert Choir and Chamber Choir. Jordan would like to thank Mrs. Volpe, Ms. Dennis, and Mr. McInnis for putting everything together, and for Ms. Chambers for encouraging her to do the Musical with ACIT in the first place. Jordan is excited to perform in her third musical and hopes you enjoy the show!
Moon Ciccozzi (Ensemble/ Candy Striper)
is a junior majoring in the Vocals Academy of Performing Arts. She loves singing and performing overall and is excited to be able to participate in this production. Previous credits include: Who citizen in Seussical at ACIT last year, ACITs annual Cabaret night this year and the previous year, and the Vocal Showcase. She also partakes in ACIT Choir as well as the auditioned Chamber Choir. She would like to thank Jess and Esme for being the best seniors a junior could have ever asked for, as well as Ms. Chambers for always encouraging her to be the best she can be!
Rachel Martucci  (Ensemble/ New Employee)
is a junior Drama major in the Academy of Performing Arts. She enjoys singing, acting, and performing. Previous credits at ACIT include Let it Shine and The Dining Room. Rachel is thrilled to be performing in 9 to 5 as it is the first musical she will partake in. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her in her career in performing arts, as well as the cast and crew of the show for making it possible. Finally, she would like to thank Ms. Dennis, Mrs. Volpe, and Mr. McInnis for bringing the show to life.
Keira Doody  (Featured Dancer )
is a sophomore in the Health Sciences and Medicine Academy. This is her sixth musical, with her previous being Seussical (featured dancer), last year at ACIT. Keira is also a dancer at Leslie’s Dance Studio, a member of the International Thespian Society, treasurer of the Drama Club, and the pitcher on her softball team. Keira would like to thank her parents, Mrs. Volpe, Ms. Dennis, and Mr. Mclnnis for their support.
Payton Weldon (Ensemble)
is a Junior major in Vocals in the Academy of Performing Arts. Payton has had a passion for performing since she was able to talk and still to this day enjoys it. This is her eighth show she has been casted in, and her second high school show. Payton is involved in ACIT’s chamber choir and in her free time she likes to hang out with her friends and sing of course. Payton would like to thank everyone who helped her get to where she is today. She would also like to thank her very supportive friends, family, and of course Mr. McInnis, Mrs. Volpe, Ms. Chambers and Ms. Dennis.
Amelia Percy  (Ensemble)
is a Freshman in the Fashion Academy. When she’s not in school Amelia enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys practicing her sketching for fashion since her dream is to one day become a designer. 9 to 5 is Amelia’s first musical at ACIT. Amelia has been interested in theater since she was just a kid and has been in many plays growing up. The last production Amelia was in was Xanadu the musical, which was at her old middle school in Ventnor City. She was given the role of Kira, which was originally played by Olivia Newton-John. Amelia Percy is super thrilled to be part of the cast of 9 to 5 and is excited to continue her acting career at the highschool level.
Leah Whaley  (Ensemble)
is a freshman in the Performing Arts Academy. When outside of school, you can find Leah listening to music, drawing, hanging out with friends and family, or just singing! Last year Leah performed in Frozen Jr. as a housekeeper with the Lenape Players and Little Mermaid Jr. as Ursula with Encore Performing Arts Center. Leah would love to thank her parents for always supporting her with her passions and always being her number one fans, Mr. McInnis for having so much faith in her and helping her improve daily as a singer, and Mrs. Volpe for helping her express herself through acting and understanding the meaning of theater. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Nevaeh Simmons (Ensemble)
is a Sophomore in the Vocal major at the Academy of Performing Arts. When she is out of school, she can be seen listening to music and spending time with her friends. In the spring, Nevaeh wants to join the Chamber Choir. Last year, she performed in Seussical as a Jungle Citizen. Her previous credits include her roles as Moana in Moana and Little Inez in Hairspray. When Nevaeh is not performing, she hangs out with her family or she is playing Roblox with her friends. Nevaeh would like to thank Mrs. Volpe, and Ms. Dennis all their amazing work on this show. She would also like to thank Mr. Mclnnis for being a great teacher helping me expand my voice and helping me this year with everything.
Nasir McNeal (Ensemble)
is a freshman and can always be seen singing and dancing. He also skateboards when he has free time. He has performed at ACIT before. Nasir’s first performance was a choir concert in the winter and he had a lot of fun performing. He’s a bit nervous for the play since it's a new environment and not a stage he’s used to. Nasir would like to say thank you to Mr. Mclnnis for helping me strengthen my vocals and learn how to use my voice the proper way. Thank you to Mrs. Dennis for teaching the choreography to 9 to 5. She’s helped him a lot to improve his dance skills for this musical. Thank you to Mrs. Volpe for directing and helping him to improve the way he acts and how he behaves while on stage even if he doesn’t have a big role. Thank you for making sure every role is important, even the small ones. Nasir would like to also thank his mother, his dad, and younger brother for coming to see him in the show. He appreciates you guys always supporting his dreams. Nasir can't wait to do this all again next year!
Jax Higbee (Ensemble)
is a junior in the Vocal Academy, he performs in choir and has been in Aida his freshman year. Outside of school Jax enjoys writing, art, and hanging out with friends. Jax has enjoyed his time in the Performing Arts academy and is so glad to see so many new faces joining the academy. He is passionate about performing and gives it his all. He hopes others will enjoy the show, he knows everyone has been working so hard to perfect this show. He would also like to thank Mr. Mcinnis and Mrs. Volpe for giving him the opportunity to perform in this academy and in this show.
Airianna McLaughlin (Ensemble)
is a sophomore Drama Major in the Academy of Performing Arts. Outside of school she enjoys spending time painting, listening to music, exploring fashion, and being with friends. She can be credited as Kelsi in High School Musical 2 Jr, and the psychiatrist, Annie, and Nancy in ACIT’s Fall Play. She would like to say everyone in the cast and crew is doing a wonderful job to put together a show on for everyone.
Tessie Bowman (Ensemble)
is a sophomore Drama Major in the Academy of Performing Arts. Other than performing she enjoys listening to music and writing. Her previous credit’s include her roles as Aunt Harriet, Harvey, and Dora in ACIT’s 2023 Fall Play. She is very excited to participate in her first high-school musical and hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Cassandra Pichardo (Ensemble)
is a sophomore in the Media and Graphics Academy. During her free time, Cassandra will listen to music while reading some of her favorite romance books. This will be her first high school performance so she is very excited. She has shown interest in musicals, primarily watching them, and stepped out of her comfort zone for this show. She hopes to participate in performances in the future.
Allyson Pichardo (Ensemble)
is a Freshman in the Cosmetology academy. From a young age she has shown interest in the arts, performing in school plays like Annie, High School Musical and general school plays. She has recently been a part of the ensemble for the Mamma Mia show at the Eagle Theater in Hammonton. During her downtime she can be seen listening to various artists and broadways shows. She loves watching and performing. Although this is not her first show she is very excited to see what she can make of herself.
