Matthew is thrilled to be directing once again, this beautiful play with this lovely cast. Matthew previously directed the premiere of Walter Freeman's “9/12” and Neil Simon's The Gingerbread Lady. Last Spring he directed the premiere of Bill Ivers new play The World Was Yours at the Hatbox in Concord. Matthew was the Producing Artist Director of The American Stage Festival for 9 years where he produced and/or directed over sixty professional productions including the premieres of “Double Act” with Bonnie Franklin and Keir Dullea and “All Under Heaven” with Valerie Harper. From there, his career path continued in New York City as a production accountant for many Broadway and Off-Broadway productions and theater companies.

One of the duties of being the Executive Director at The Actors Studio is to seek out great talent and to form relationships with other creative and exciting production companies. After reading the rave reviews and hearing how wonderful this show was from other actors and theater goers that saw the show at the Players Ring in Portsmouth, she knew she had to talk to the Producing Director, Don Goettler. After their first conversation on the phone, she knew this was a perfect match for both organizations. Previous to her current position she was the Artistic Director for a 200 seated theater overseeing and choosing shows and casting actors for over 15 years. Creating art and working with exciting performers is her greatest passion.
