Kolby Bates (Laurie)
Kolby Lamont Bates is a senior at NYU studying Vocal Performance with a concentration in Musical Theater. He spends his time performing at various cabarets throughout the city, such as 54 Below and The Green Room 42. His recent credits at NYU include Heartbreakers in Hell (Dante), Titanic (Jim Farrell), Into the Woods (Jack), and the Broadway Orchestra. @kolbylamontbates
Ben Britton (Professor Bhaer)
Ben is incredibly excited to be a part of this amazing production of Little Women. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Ben has previously been seen in such roles as Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, The Baker in Into the Woods, and Dr. Neville Craven in The Secret Garden. He’s deeply thankful for his wonderful family & friends for all their support, and profoundly grateful to the show’s unbelievably talented cast & crew for the chance to perform with them.
Joel Gori (Mr. Laurence)
Joel Richard Gori is the artistic director of the Metamorphosis Performing Company. He has been a rostered movement-theater artist with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for over 30 years. He founded the Reading Theater Project in 2003 and is a member of their creative team. He also performs with Fotis & Fotis & Friends, a comedy-improv troupe. He was the recipient of the Berks Arts 2024 Pagoda Award for Excellence in the Arts.
Georgia Heintzman (Meg March)
Georgia Heintzman is a senior Music Education student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has participated in other Sycamore Stage productions, including The Secret Garden (Pit Singer) and the Sondheim Tribute Review. She is also very involved in the music and theater department at IUP, singing in the IUP Chorale, and performing in productions with Theater By The Grove, the most recent credits being Songs For A New World (Woman 2) and Pirates of Penzance (Daughter).
Kyara Jean-Louis (Amy March)
Kyara Jean-Louis is a rising Junior at New York University. She studies Drama at Stella Adler Studio of acting with a Minor in Business, Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Recent productions include: Marie in Barbecue, Medea in Medea, and Ayah in The Secret Garden. She is so excited to take on the role of Amy in Little Women this summer and she thanks her family and friends for their endless love and support!
Elisabeth Manwiller (Aunt March)
Elisabeth is happy to be back on stage with the amazing cast and crew of the Sycamore Stage Theatre Company! She has previously been in their productions of Into the Woods (Witch), The Secret Garden (Martha), The Sound of Music (Reverend Mother) and other amazing review shows such as A Musical Journey and the Sondheim Tribute Review. Elisabeth says, “Sycamore Stage is a fun group that creates amazing shows for the community. It’s a great way to spend your time!! Come on out and participate, as we are always looking for help on and off stage!! It takes a village to create these masterpieces and engage the community in the world of theater.”
Mary McCormick (Jo March)
Mary McCormick is a professional singer, voice teacher, and actress. Mary has had a number of exciting opportunities in the last year or so that include singing at Carnegie Hall with the Philadelphia Orchestra and appearing in Bradley Cooper’s Oscar-nominated film, Maestro. She is absolutely thrilled to return to the stage with some of her favorite people! Some past roles with SSTC include Maria (Sound of Music), Sister Mary Amnesia (Nunsense), and Cinderella (Into the Woods). When Mary is not singing, she’s training ponies or hiking with her husband and pup! Break a leg cast and crew!
Stacia Smith (Marmee)
Stacia Renell Smith is elated to partake in a theatrical journey with this gifted cast and crew. Notable past credits: Fosca (Passion); Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady); Bea Bottom (Something Rotten); Helen Bechdel (Fun Home); Mother (Ragtime); & Dot/Marie (Sunday in the Park with George). She extends her appreciation to Jimmy and Landon for the wonderful opportunity to be onstage with this company and sing these lush melodies with a strong female-driven cast. Stacia thanks the lucky stars above for the countless chances to bring beautiful stories to life like this one.
Rob Speece (John Brooke)
Rob Speece is a rising Junior at Susquehanna University studying Music Education: Voice, and is a 2022 Graduate of Wilson High School. This is Rob’s first show with Sycamore Stage. You may have seen Rob in EPAC’s 2022 performance of Les Miserables as Enjolras or as the titular role in Susquehanna University’s spring opera The False Harlequin. Rob is very excited to make his Sycamore Stage debut and to work with such an amazing cast.
Hannah Warren (Beth March)
Hannah Warren is delighted to be making her debut with Sycamore Stage Theatre Company! She has a degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College and currently teaches K-4 general and vocal music. Favorite credits include Amneris in Aida, Esther Smith in Meet Me in St. Louis, Rusty in Footloose, and Amy March in Little Women. She enjoys reading, crocheting, spending time with her wonderful husband, and cheering on the Phillies.
