Timothy Mayrose (Peter)
Timothy Mayrose (Boy/Peter) is thrilled to be making his Spotlight Theater debut in Peter and the Starcatcher. Timothy is a graduate of Lafayette College where he received a B.A. in Theater. Selected credits include: Arcadia (Bernard Nightingale), Everyman (Fellowship), Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Ichabod Crane), Head Over Heels with Lafayette College Theater; Footloose, The Wedding Singer (Asst. Choreographer) with Marquis Players; Mamma Mia, Annie with In the Wings Productions; Chicago with Standing Ovation. Directing credits include Legally Blonde (Marquis Players) and Ugly Lies the Bone (LCT). He thanks the cast, crew, and production team for an amazing and welcoming experience. Break legs!
Ava Mary Aloia (Molly Aster)
Ava Mary Aloia is entering her Junior year at Connecticut College, where she’s studying Theatre and Art. Some of her previous roles include: Emily Webb in Our Town by Thornton Wilder, Irina in Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, The Moorhen in The Moors by Jen Silverman, and Anne Shirley Cuthbert in Anne with an E by Jacques Stewart. She’s thrilled to be back with her Spotlight Theatre friends this summer!
Monica Ugarte (Prentiss)
Monica Ugarte is a recent graduate from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor’s degree in Theater. She has performed in various productions some including: Chicago (Roxie Hart), Les Misérables (Fantine), Into The Woods (The Witch), Water by the Spoonful (Yasmine), and El Huracán (Alicia/Dr.Kempler/Val). She has also recently stage managed other local productions such as SpongeBob: The Musical, The Wizard of Oz, Eurydice, and a One Act Festival at Brooklyn College. She Recently played Princess Aouda in the Jacques Stewart original musical Around the World in 80 Days. She is thirlled to be in the role of Prentiss in this production.
Matthew Homme (Ted)
Matthew Homme is currently in his third year at The College of Staten Island. Some of his favorite shows he has done with spotlight are Hello Dolly, Bat Boy, Robyn Hood. Some of his favorite shows to light were Oliver, Nutcracker, Wizard Of Oz. He would like to thank his Family And Friends for their continued support.
Shea Ryan (Lord Aster)
Shea has a long history of acting and studied at a small conservatory in Manhattan. He took a break from acting to pursue a film degree. Shea has only recently rejoined the theater community when he dismal musical review with Spotlight. He has since performed in Bat-Boy: The Musical and Oliver with Spotlight as well as a few other productions in groups around the Island. Shea is thankful for the loving support of his family, Tricia, Fiona and Aidan, for making it possible to take to the stage again.
Jacques Stewart (Black Stache)
John “Jacques” Stewart - is an award-winning international director and choreographer (SSD&C), writer and performer (AEA). Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Spotlight Theatre. Longest serving Artistic Director of the Weathervane Repertory Theatre 1991-2017 (LOA-LORT) producing seven shows in alternating repertory in each summer season with New York’s finest Broadway and Regional performers; Co-Founder of Windsock Theatre Camp; Director - SKYBO Productions & Casting of NYC; Writer - New York, regional and stock; Founder/Producing Artistic Director – ArtBridge (NY company producing bilingual theater in Central America). ArtBridge – building a bridge for art from New York to Guatemala - has included over 150 Guatemalan and over 20 American artists since it began in 1999. West Side Story, Once On This Island*, Grease, Peter Pan and Jesus Christ Superstar* in collaboration with the United States Embassy; as well as Godspell*, Evita*,and others (*in Spanish). He is; and Co-founder/former co-artistic director - Teamwork Dance (NJ Modern Dance company).
Jonathan Hallowell (Smee)
Jonathan is thrilled to be back at Spotlight for another incredible show! He has appeared in the ensemble of Sing a Song of Sondheim, as Grimwig in the ensemble of Oliver!, as Drosselmeyer in Nutcracker, and Stanley in the ensemble of Hello, Dolly! Originally from the mile-high city of Denver, Colorado, Jonathan received his BFA from the University of Wyoming. Favorite past credits include Junie B. Jones, Charlotte’s Web, Woman in Mind, and The Lion in Winter.
Brandon Olk (Mrs. Brumbrake/Teacher)
Having last acted in a 1982 high school production of Diary of Anne Frank, Brandon Olk is as surprised as you are to find him in the parts of Mrs. Bumbrake / Teacher. He entirely credits his teachers Jacques and Gigi for their kindness, encouragement, and inexplicable leap of faith. He also thanks Mary Lee for casting and maintaining a fiction that he might carry a tune, his wife Bernadette for basically everything, and his three remarkable sons Evan, Dylan, and Jonathan.
Meggan Audrey (Robert Falcon Scott/Fighting Prawn/Sanchez)
Meggan Audrey is so excited to be back with her Spotlight family! Meggan has become a choreographer/director at Spotlight for the past few years working on Chicago, Mean Girls, Hello Dolly, The Lion King, Jr, and Jungle Book to name a few. She was also most recently seen in Spotlight Repertory Theatre’s production of Sing a Song of Sondheim! Favorite Performance Credits: Newsies (Spotlight Repertory), Footloose (Surflight), The Producers (Woodstock Playhouse), Chicago (Forestburgh Playhouse), Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Weathervane Theatre). Meggan has also performed as a backup vocalist for Liz Callaway in Lincoln Center and Deke Sharon in Carnegie Hall. Graduate of Pace University, BFA. Corey Loftus (Grempkin/Fighting Prawn/Sanchez)
Corey Loftus (Grempkin / Sanchez / Fighting Prawn) is a performer by night, software engineer by day. He’s very SPAGHETTI to be back for another one with Spotlight. Favorite past roles: Edgar/Bat Boy in Bat Boy (Spotlight Rep, SI), Cat in the Hat (Seussical Nat'l Tour), Silvius in As You Like It (Orlando Shakespeare), Chino in WSS (ECU). Ash Farley (Bad Sailor Mack)
I’ve done many shows with spotlight like Bat Boy the Musical, and shows through their classes like Legally Blonde and Mean Girls! I’ve done shows with my school, like Little Shop of Horrors where I played Seymour, A Midsummer Nights Dream, and Legally Blonde where I played Elle! I am going into my freshman year as an Acting Major at Baldwin Wallace University. I’m so honored and excited to be working with Spotlight again and to do such a fun show like Peter and the Star Catcher!
Evan Chrust (Alf)
Evan Chrust is happy to join Spotlight Theatre again by stepping out of the tech booth and onto the stage! Evan received his undergraduate degree in Theatre Studies from Wagner College in 2020, where he served as an assistant director for original work Our New Town’s workshop and production. Evan has worked for several years in different positions as an interactive theatre director, program coordinator and operations coordinator at mythology based summer camp Camp Half-Blood. Most recently, he has stage managed for two Spotlight productions (Hello, Dolly! and Oliver) and sound engineered for two SIST productions (The Cherry Orchard and The Tempest.) He also had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall twice and touring Spain and Costa Rica with the Wagner College Choir, and continues to sing with the choir C3 post graduation. Performance credits include Robbie Hart (The Wedding Singer), Judas (Godspell), Scarecrow (Wizard of Oz), Doody (Grease) and Judah (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.)
Carol Griffin (Bill Slank/Hawking Clam)
Over the past few years, Carol has become a familiar face in Spotlight Theatre productions. She’s performed in “Newsies”, “Violet” and “School of Rock”, “Fierce Females”, “Hello Dolly”, & “Nutcracker”. Recently, she became a Board Member for Spotlight Theatre and a member of the Social Justice and Interfaith Committee for the Staten Island Council of Churches. She’s an active choir member and Deacon at the Oakwood Heights Community Church. Her band, The Carol Griffin Trio, is on hiatus after the sad loss of her friend and guitarist Bill O’Brien. She and Dave hope to regroup and perform at various fundraisers and dining venues in the New York area again soon. “I’m blessed & extremely grateful to fill my life with my family, friends, and music. I’m looking forward to continuing to entertain our community through music and social interaction. Peace, Love & God bless you all.”
