Developing Actors Theatre Technician Summer Program Planning Guide:
Description: The tech crew of the summer productions will meet once a week during the month of June. Students will meet with the theatre professional and/or the productions stage manager to learn the basics of the creative and technical departments. As well as help build set pieces, collect props, etc.
Ages: 6th Grade- Freshman
Price: $150 per student
Overall Goals and Objectives of Program:
Students will develop production skills and be able to meet the following objectives:
- Students will demonstrate their understanding of the Theatre world and the roles within the theatre world
- Students will demonstrate their understanding of stage management by performing specific stage management duties.
- Students will demonstrate their understanding of technical theater in the areas of: Lighting, Sound, Props, Publicity, Costumes.
- Students will demonstrate their understanding of stage equipment and other related technical theatre terminology
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of the elements of technical theatre design

During the week of Tech Week, DAPA participants will be present and acting as the stage crew for all dress rehearsals and productions. |
