Marty is very excited to be a part of another Spotlight Arts Collective Production. Marty has been in many shows throughout the area, and truly has love for theater. In addition to peforming, Marty is also a member of the Spotlight Board. He has enjoyed working with this cast especially along side his two children. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Mike Frale
Mike is thrilled to be making his Spotlight Arts Collective debut directing The Little Mermaid. He is a graduate of Lewis University with a master’s in organizational leadership and a bachelor’s in theatre. Select directing credits include Disney's Newsies (Summer Place Theatre), Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (Theatre 121), This Is Our Youth (Riverfront Playhouse) and The Guys (Heritage Theatre Company). Some acting credits include Ted in Peter and the Starcatcher and Peter in Company (both with Wheaton Drama). Upcoming projects include directing West Side Story (Summer Place Theatre). Mike is a 7-time BroadwayWorld Award-nominee. Mike is a member of the Board of Directors of Theatre 121 and an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. www.mikefrale.com

Amanda Herman
Amanda is happy to return to yet another Spotlight Production! Amanda is super excited to be working with such a great cast and production staff for this production of The Little Mermaid! Amanda has been performing in theater over the last 20 years. She most recently played Regina in Spotlight Art Collective's Rock of Ages. Although she loves performing, her ultimate joy is working with kids and developing their love for the stage. Amanda has previously directed shows at Spotlight Arts Collective, Martino Jr. High, The Drama Group, and Lincoln-Way Central High School. She is most proud of developing the Musical Theater program at Martino Jr. High School where she also teaches 7th grade English and Reading. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Emily Kociolek
Emily is excited to be costuming for Spotlight for the first time! Costume design is a newly discovered talent for Emily, where she can combine her project management skills from her day job as an architect, with her love for the theater and her hobby of sewing fashion apparel. Over the past few years her costume design skills have been utilized at Hickory Creek Middle School in Frankfort on their productions of The Addams Family and Shrek Jr. She enjoys working on productions where her daughters (Maggie & Tilly) are performing, including this one! The Little Mermaid has always been her favorite Disney movie, so she hopes you enjoy her interpretations of the classic looks!

Eric Rehm
Eric Rehm earned his Music Education & Vocal Performance degrees from Illinois State University in 2015. Since 2010, he has directed and music directed over 40 musical productions through schools, community theaters and the Chicago premier of a TRU – A Musical for Mental Health. Now in his 8th year of teaching, Rehm is the General Music teacher at Summit Hill Junior High where he also directs their Choir and started their Drama Club program last year.

Bre Sakalis
Bre is excited to make her Spotlight debut as Stage Manager. She is a graduate from Western Illinois University where she got her BA in Technical Theatre, focusing on Stage Management and Audio Engineering and Design. She has been working in theatre for 10 years now, in various positions. Previous credits include: Newsies, The Sound of Music, A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum, and Of Mice and Men. When she's not working in theatre, Bre works as a prep cook, and in her free time, can be found working on some sort of craft project.

Maddie Sheldon
Maddie Shelton (choreographer) is a Mechanical Engineer in Themed Entertainment who loves to bust a move. She has been dancing since she was 2 years old and has been choreographing for show choirs, dance teams, and musicals since she was 16. Her recent experiences include Newsies Dance Captain (Summer Place Theatre), Teacher/Choreographer (Turning Pointe Academy), and President of Higher Ground Dance Company (Purdue University). She has award winning competition choreography in both ballet and tap. Maddie would like to thank her stellar family / friends, wonderful boyfriend, and beautiful cast for all their support.

Sabra Thomas
Sabra Rael is ecstatic to be the Children’s Director in Spotlight Arts Collective’s production of The Little Mermaid! While new to the production aspect of theatre, Sabra has a passion for community theatre! She has been involved in over fifteen productions and has BA in Theatre from Lewis University. Her favorite role was Belle in Beauty and the Beast! Special thanks to her mom and sister for their love and support!
