About The Work Continues Scholarship Dinner
The Work Continues: A Scholarship Dinner in Honor of Larry Lamar Yates
Join Selah Theatre Project for an unforgettable evening of purpose, performance, and community as we honor the legacy of our beloved Theatre Angel, Larry Lamar Yates—a man who never allowed us to turn away a student in need.
Because of Larry’s spirit, the work continues.
This special Dinner & A Show experience will feature a beautifully prepared meal by Chef Do’zia (Atlanta, GA), followed by a powerful production of 12 Angry Jurors—a gripping story of justice, empathy, and the courage to stand alone for what is right.
🍽️ Dinner.
🎭 Theatre.
❤️ Impact.
All ticket proceeds directly support the Larry Lamar Yates Memorial Scholarship Fund, which ensures that no student is turned away from Selah Theatre programming—whether acting classes, summer camps, or theatre conferences. Thanks to this mission, over 60% of our summer students receive scholarship support.
📍 Hosted at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Shenandoah Valley—a cherished community partner and the former church home of Larry himself—this evening is more than an event. It is a continuation of his legacy.
Come be part of something bigger.
Come ensure that access to the arts remains unapologetically available to all.
The Work Continues. And so does his impact.
