"Прекрасное воскресенье для Разбитого Сердца" – это одна из поздних пьес Теннесси Уильямса, в которой каждый персонаж отражает глубокие аспекты человеческой судьбы и выбора. В центре сюжета – Доротея, немолодая женщина на пороге важных жизненных решений. Она окружена тремя другими женщинами, каждая из которых представляет собой уникальный путь или выбор в жизни.

Сюжет разворачивается в реальном времени в одном помещении, где Доротея ожидает звонка от своего кавалера, а её соседка Боди пытается свести её со своим братом. Вскоре появляются Элина и мисс Глюк, каждая со своими историями и переживаниями, добавляя сложности в выбор Доротеи.

Пьеса исследует глубокие психологические слои каждого персонажа. Их взаимодействия не просто бытовые сцены, а скорее попытки разных миров найти общие точки соприкосновения.

'A Lovely Sunday for a Creve Coeur' is one of the late plays by Tennessee Williams, in which each character reflects deep aspects of human fate and choice. At the center of the plot is Dorothea, a not-so-young woman on the verge of important life decisions. She is surrounded by three other women, each representing a unique path or choice in life.

The plot unfolds in real-time in a single room, where Dorothea awaits a call from her suitor, while her neighbor Bodi tries to set her up with her brother. Soon, Elina and Miss Gluck appear, each with their own stories and experiences, adding complexity to Dorothea's choice.

The play explores the deep psychological layers of each character. Their interactions are not just domestic scenes, but rather attempts of different worlds to find common points of contact.

'A Lovely Sunday for a Creve Coeur' is a profound reflection on human fate, choice, and the search for happiness. It is a play that makes the audience think about their own life decisions and values.

The Scarlet Sails Cultural Foundation is a community of Russian-speaking theater enthusiasts. Our primary objective is to foster an educational multicultural environment by organizing cultural events and theatrical performances. Notably, these performances are accompanied by English subtitles displayed on-screen, catering to our English-speaking audience members.

The "Scarlet Sails Theater" was founded by Olga Sotiriadi in July 2015. In 2019, like-minded individuals collaborated to establish a non-profit organization based on a Limited Liability Company (LLC) to more effectively conduct cultural events, festivals, and theatrical performances. The first board of directors meeting took place in May 2019, and the Scarlet Sails Cultural Foundation was officially registered on September 4.
 

Over the years, we have staged over 100 plays for children and adults, as well as held children's concerts. Over 300 Russian-speaking children from Portland and surrounding areas have attended and continue to attend our Saturday School. Every year we participate in various festivals such as Beaverton Night Market and Ridgefield Multicultural Festival. Our artistic director, Olga Sotiriadi, gives workshops at the Russian-speaking Youth Leaders Conference every year.
