The Importance of Being Earnest Cast

Wyatt Davis (Algernon Moncrieff)
Wyatt is thrilled to welcome you to "The Importance of Being Earnest!" This show ranks as one of his all-time favorites, and the character Algernon is among his most cherished theatrical roles. Therefore, it's no exaggeration to say he has eagerly anticipated this opportunity for quite some time. With over ten years of experience in theater, performing in various shows from Shakespeare to "The Music Man" and "The School for Scandal," Wyatt is ecstatic to bring Oscar Wilde's timeless comedy to life. He hopes you enjoy the show and, in the words of Algernon, advises you to "Please stop being so serious all the time!"
Thomas William Shaw (John Worthing)
Thomas is absolutely delighted to return to the stage in "The Importance of Being Earnest!" His most recent role was as Jake Laurents in SRTC's production of "It's a Wonderful Life Live!" He hadn't planned on returning to the stage so soon, but Oscar Wilde's fantastic script was an opportunity he couldn't resist. A Birmingham, AL, native, he has relished roles like Brick in "A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," and has received accolades for his performances in "Echoes" and "Sylvia," as well as for playing Sgt. Trotter in SRTC's production of "The Mousetrap." He is immensely grateful for the support he has received since joining this community and extends his deepest thanks to his wife, Lauren, and his children, Olivia and Elijah. I love you so much. He hopes you enjoy the show as much as he enjoys putting it on unless, of course, you are one of those "clever people."
Katherine Eby (Gwendolen Fairfax)
Katherine has always been fascinated with witty dialogue and dry humor, making "The Importance of Being Earnest" one of her dream shows. She has been actively involved in theater since she landed the role of Alice in "Alice in Wonderland" at fifteen. Among her favorite roles are Annie Sullivan in "The Miracle Worker" and Helena in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Offstage, Katherine enjoys biking, reading, cooking, and spending time with cats.

Sariah is excited to join the cast of "The Importance of Being Earnest," having always cherished theater. Her experience spans high school productions of "Beauty and the Beast" and "Newsies," to playing the Teacher in "Working" and Little Zuzu in "It's a Wonderful Life." Passionate about acting in film, she aspires to pursue this path after her mission. Best wishes to her on the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission! An avid writer and walker, Sariah enjoys discussing book-to-movie adaptations, so feel free to strike up a conversation with her about that topic. She extends heartfelt thanks to her parents, Saraand Aaron, for their unwavering support and all her friends who believe in her unconditionally

Donna was seen last season as Emma in "Over the River and Through the Woods." Acting for relatives since infancy, she delights in remembering that in the 6th grade, she auditioned against all the boys in her 6th grade class & was cast as Santa Claus! She received the Department Award for Speech and Drama from the College of San Mateo, CA, & won a theatre scholarship to San Francisco State College. Awards from PLT include Best Actress, Best Supporting, Best Featured, Studio Spirit Award, & the coveted Vera. She dedicates all her work on stage to the memory of her husband, Pat Quinn, & her love of God & the gift of talent he bestows.
Ann Farley (Miss Prism)
Ann, a retired RN, has relished time with her family and hobbies since relocating to Florida two years ago. Throughout her life, she has been actively involved in theater and art. Her experiences have included performing on stage, working backstage, and ardently supporting the arts and theater in each place she has called home.
Doug DeNeveu (Rev. Canon Chasuble)
Doug began his stage career in 7th grade, playing Pappy in "Li'l Abner." Throughout high school, he performed in plays such as "Night of January 16th," "Bye Bye Birdie," "Hello, Dolly!" and "God's Favorite." After graduating, he attended California State University, Sacramento, majoring in Theater Arts. There, he played Armand in "Camille" and spent three summers with the University of the Pacific in summer stock, appearing in "Anything Goes," "Paint Your Wagon," "Grease," and "Godspell." Post-graduation, he acted in "Girl Crazy" and "Blithe Spirit." He then moved to Los Angeles, where in 1985, he became the Grand Champion of "Puttin' on the Hits," a national lip-sync competition on television. Following a 10-year break from the stage, he joined the Temecula Performing Arts Center, performing in "The Sound of Music," "A Christmas Carol," "West Side Story," and "Daddy's Dyin'; Who's Got the Will?" He is excited to be part of 'Earnest' and looks forward to more projects with SRCT.
