The One That Got Away Cast

Paula Knutson (Annie)
Paula Knutson who plays Annie is new to the River Falls Community Theatre stage. Having grown up in Spring Valley, Paula's usual venue is with the Stagehands. Where in her younger days productions included “Rumors”, “Lie, Cheat and Genuflect” and “Flaming Idiots”. Being a recent empty nester, the stage beckoned her back this winter after a roughly 25 year hiatus. She’d like to thank her super sexy husband Jim for being her rock, (Oops, sorry Jim got the keyboard.), and her son Jasper for being a tall drink of water, and her daughter Eryka for being her artist. Enjoy the show!
Kat Cloutier (Blair)
Kat has caught the bug to perform ever since she was a little girl singing and playing tambourine with her siblings. She self-taught herself guitar at 10 years old and now plays 7 instruments. Kat has performed in theater, television, film, comedy, improv comedy, and modeling for over 40 years.  She has over 30 film credits on imdb.com under her stage name: Kat Fenton. Kat has been married to her husband Jim for 30 years. They have one daughter, Rachel. In Kat's spare time she loves to work out, write and compose music, and play with her 2 beagles Lola and Lucy. Kat is thrilled to be a part of this play. "It is so different than film. Stage is real. You need to stay on your toes, listen to your fellow actors and at times implement improv, since there are no do overs."
Julie Paoli-Stern (Donna)
This is Julie’s second show with RFCT.  She is a retired elementary classroom teacher who now spends her days working with student teachers from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She enjoys spending time with family and friends at her home in Hudson, WI and her cabin in Motley, MN.

She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she does!

Sean O’Malley began his acting career in Hudson, Wisconsin in the casts of “Three Men on a Horse”, “Alladin” and “Tom and Huck” for the St. Croix Valley Arts Guild. He continued acting in college, joining the casts of “Lady Windemere’s Fan” and “Richard II”. He also appeared in “The Matchmaker” at a (now-defunct) St. Paul community theater. Recently he has appeared in several productions for the RFCT, “Tinkerbell”, “Vintage Hitchcock”, “Santa’s Cookie Problem” and “The Old Switcheroo”. He is proud to join the wonderful cast of “The One That Got Away” as Geordie.
Mel Hokanson (Max)
My first role was Dick in the One Act "Gunslinger Motel" with RFCT. I enjoyed it very much, thus coming back for more! I retired from my own business two years ago and enjoy socializing, fishing, and hiking the outdoors with our 10 month old Golden Retriever Olaf. My wife, Michele, has been a great supporter rehearsing lines with me. I owe her many thanks. I am excited for this production and want to thank my fellow actors and our directors for their hard work, direction, and guidance on making this play come to fruition.
Travis Hinkel (Harold)
My interest in performing began at 4 years old when I did break dancing and singing for my preschool program. From there I was in Peter Pan at the Phipps and at RFHS production of Rhinoceros. While living in California I took acting classes. Most recently I was “ Rusty” in The Gunslinger Motel, for RFCT one act festival.
Jim DiPeso (Clive)
Jim was born with ink in his veins. A writer since childhood, he spent his early career as a newspaper reporter and editor, then transitioned to marketing for nonprofit advocacy and educational organizations. Now retired, Jim spends his days writing memoir, short stories, satire, historical fiction, and, to keep the lights on, freelance articles about energy topics filled. Jim lives with his wife Wendy in the Town of River Falls. They have four adult children and nine grandchildren living on the West Coast. He was born on the outskirts of glamorous Hollywood, CA, the same year Disneyland opened, which may explain his interest in make-believe.
