Cry-Baby Cast

Neva is a rising junior in high school has been doing theater for around 5 years now. Previously, she has played Alice in Alice By Heart, Angela in TRAP!, and most recently assistant directed The Prom. She has had SO much fun preparing for this show, and can’t wait for you to see it!!

Layla has been performing in musical theatre for about four years, and this is her tenth musical theatre performance, but her second at Renegade Theatre. She’s also studied hip-hop dance for three years and takes classes at Expressions Academy. Layla has performed in numerous shows, including Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Shrek, Mrs. Mayor in Seussical Jr., Laundry Lady in Beauty and the Beast, ensemble in Charlie Brown, a cheerleader in 13: The Musical, ensemble in Footloose, a worker in Hadestown, ensemble in Chicago, and Mrs. Green in The Prom. She loves the supportive culture, the directors, and cast at Renegade. Outside of theatre, Layla enjoys dance, spending time with friends, and going to the beach. She’s excited to keep growing and hopes to pursue college theatre in the future.

Hayden has been participating in theater all throughout high school. Notable roles include Fate 2 (Hadestown) & Roxie Hart (Chicago) with All About Theater, Cady Heron (Mean Girls) with Milpitas Community Theater, and Persephone (Hadestown) with Renegade Theater. She was also Gabriella Montez (High School Musical) with Aptos High while additionally being co-choreographer and assisted in teaching ensemble vocals. Hayden plans on attending UCSC for biochemistry & molecular biology next semester. She can’t wait for you to enjoy the show!

Ghost is an actor based in Santa Cruz, California. You may have seen them most recently in The Prom (DeeDee Allen), Trap (Candelaria Ortiz), Hadestown (Eurydice), High School Musical (Ryan), The Crucible (Abigail) or Alice in Wonderland (The Cheshire Cat). They are currently working on their first full length feature film as well as their 9th short film. This fall you can catch them at Calarts working hard to get their degree in Acting. They are so excited to be a part of this fun, camp, and hilarious show. They hope you enjoy!

Taiga Shay Hardwicke is an incoming junior at San Lorenzo Valley High School and is so thrilled to be a part of her first community theater production of "Cry-Baby" with this wonderful cast and crew! Some of Taiga's favorite past roles were Lady Marian from "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood" and Sophie Sheridan from "Mamma Mia!" Taiga also takes vocal lessons from Josh Porter at B Natural Music. Outside of theater, Taiga plays guitar and performs in the San Lorenzo Valley High School Choir as a soprano. Taiga would like to send thanks to her wonderful and supportive friends, family and the directors who have and will work so hard on this show! XO!

Noah is very excited to be doing his first show at Renegade Theater Co. He is currently attending Pajaro Valley High School where he likes to focus his time on music and theater. He has done many shows over the years starting with Mufasa in The Lion King in fifth grade. He would continue to do two more shows with his middle school, those being Matilda The Musical (Rudolpho), and SpongeBob The Musical (Squidward). After that he would go on to work with All About Theater beginning with Anything Goes (Billy), then Footloose (Reverend Moore), Hadestown (Ensemble), 42nd Street (Julian Marsh), Chicago (Ensemble). Amidst finishing up with Chicago he auditioned for a role at Pajaro Valley High thus adding Zoot Suit (Joey) to his resume.

Indi is so excited to be in another show, after first joining the Renegade family around a year ago, and then being in numerous shows. You may recognize him from last summers Hadestown as Orpheus, or most recently from The Prom as Nick. Servings as the tenor in the Whiffles- a barbershop quartet of squares - Indi brings a peachy keen presence to the group. He hopes that you get your polio shot (maybe two for safe measure..) and feel extra squeaky clean! <3

Asher been doing theater with Renegade, and theater in general, for 1 year now! Ever since he got roped in last summer during Renegade's hades town, he has found the best community and hobby. His previous roles are Worker (Hadestown), Rickenoch Baynor (Trap!), Monster ensemble (She Kills Monsters), and Principal Hawkins (The Prom). Asher looks forward to continuing his theater carrer with Renegade, and hopes you enjoy the show!

Kate/Katherine is a queer ass chicano de Watsonville who is overjoyed to be performing in Crybaby the Musical! You may recognize Kate from PVHS’s 2026 production of “Zoot Suit” as well as numerous other productions in Watsonville including school shows from years past etc. Kate was also a 2026 QYLA nominee, alongside some of their other cast members! Much love! ¡Si se puede!

Ryuu Has Been acting for seven years. He's taken great joy in being a part of Renegade for the past three years, growing as an actor, dancer, and friend. Over the last few years, Ryuu has been an actor in shows such as Sheldon in The Prom, Gandermain + Ensemble in TRAP!, Stephan in Bitterroot, Dutchess/Dodgy in Alice By Heart, and ensemble in Hadestown Teen Edition and so much more. He is excited to head to CSUN in the fall to study film production, and while he will continue to support his friends from afar, he can't wait to see where life takes him!

Jay is so excited to return to Renegade for Crybaby! Some favorite past credits include Emma Nolan (The Prom), Ferdinand (Bitterroot), and Workers Chorus (Hadestown). They are so grateful to work with such an amazing cast and crew, and hope you enjoy the show!

Amira is an actor and stage manager from Aptos. She has been a part of many shows, doing theatre since the second grade as production crew for Alice in Wonderland, and continuing to participate in many more shows such as The Princess Bride (Valerie), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Oompa-Loompa), Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Cinderella (Evil Stepmother, Prince Charming), Frozen Jr. The Musical (Duke of Weselton), Winnie-the-Pooh (Tigger, Rabbit). She has also done some crew roles such as being stage managers apprentice and Projections operator in Much Ado About Nothing, and as stage manager for High School Musical. As she goes into eleventh grade, she is staying in the theatre scene, with a greater focus in stage managing and similar positions as she continues to be a part of the Drama Production Class at her school.

River is a rising junior at Coast Redwood High School and has loved theater since elementary. She's very excited to be in her third Renegade production after doing The Prom (Mrs Green's Friend / Ensemble) in the spring and Trap! (Kendra Silberling) last fall. She hopes the audience has as much fun seeing the show as she did rehearsing for it.

Elijah is an actor and singer from Santa Cruz, CA. He performed in several Holy Cross school plays and musicals prior to making his Renegade debut last fall in Trap!. He's thrilled to be in CryBaby, performing alongside the best theater company and crew in the world, and likely the entire solar system. Outside of performing in theater, Elijah enjoys writing fiction and articles, making stop motion videos, and playing Dungeons and Dragons and video games with his friends.

Paisley Barnard is a first time actor located in Santa Cruz county. She has had the awesome chance to be welcomed into the renegade community for her first ever performance in the theater world! While she hasn’t ever had experience with public performances she has had the chance to show off her guitar and singing skills to her friends and family. Her amazing and supportive friends gave her the inspiration to get out there and try something new. She is so greatful that she now found exactly what had been missing! She’s is so appreciative of how kind and welcoming this cast is and is so ecstatic to be a part of it! She know you will enjoy Crybaby because who couldn’t!

Callia Jade Hughes is an incoming sophomore at San Lorenzo Valley Highschool and is based in the Santa Cruz mountains. She started theatre a few years ago after being in the preforming world for a while with singing and playing guitar. This is her first show with renegade and she hopes it’s the first of many. Her previous acting credits include Moana (Ocean Ensemble Soloist) and Mamma Mia! (Ensemble) with San Lorenzo Valley Highschool, Peter Panic (Queenie the Queen of the Mermaids) with Little Peoples Repertory Theatre (LPRT), and several soloist parts in her San Lorenzo Valley Highschool theatre class Musical and Acting Showcases. She can’t wait to keep improving her acting over the years as she keeps doing theatre and she enjoys to dance, sing, do everything with her friends and play many instruments in her free time. She loves the whole cast for this show and he hopes you will enjoy this production as much as she has!

Chloe is 16 and a rising Junior at Santa Cruz High School. She has been loving and performing in musical theater since she was 5 years old. Some of her favorite past roles include The Cheshire Cat (Alice by Heart, Renegade), Alyssa Greene (The Prom, Renegade), Eurydice (Hadestown, Renegade), and Jovie (Elf, CYT). She hopes you enjoy the show!

This is Phoebe’s first Renegade show but she’s happy to play someone just like herself, a wayward punk. Other shows Phoebe has been in include Newsies as Morris Delancy and Grease as Sonny. Enjoy the show!

Zo is a Singer, Dancer, and Actor. Zo has been in Santa Cruz Highs Choir for all 4 years of high-school and was in Choir at Mission Hill Middle. Zo's Choir has performed in the top 10% in the country consistently and won multiple first place awards. Zo also danced with Mendocino ballet for 7 years and has continued their lessons privately. In total Zo has been danceing ballet for 11 years. Zo has done numerous productions with All About Theater, including Footloose (Principle Clark), Urine Town (Officer Barrel), and Beauty and the Beast (Tavern Master). Zo's entire life centers around the arts wether it's moshing and screaming on saturday or dancing en pointe on tusesday, Zo loves and surrounds themselves in all of it.

Nora loves performing whether it's choir, dance or theater! She has only been in a few musicals so far but has loved every one of them! She has been in Into the Woods and helped choreograph Aptos High's production of High School Musical. This is her first time doing a show with Renegade and it has been a wonderful experience! She can't wait for everyone to see the hard work we put into Cry-Baby!
