The America Play Cast

Elgin Martin is making his Perisphere debut. Regional credits include Elysian Fields (Ford's Theatre), The Pliant Girls(Theatre Prometheus/Nu Sass), Dua: The Monster's Story (Theatre Prometheus), and Richard II (Frederick Shakespeare Festival). Elgin holds a BA from Kenyon College.

Hailing from Chicago, and with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Howard University, Ayanna is a writer, poet, and actor in the D.M.V area. She is beyond thrilled to be making her Perisphere Theater debut! Her writing credits include Silence is Violence: Future of the Field and Silence is Violence: Wish Me Well at Young Playwrights' Theatre. Ayanna's recent acting credits include Delivery Bot in Human Museum (Rorschach Theatre); and Lisa in Salted Lemonade from #Enough: Plays to End Gun Violence (Imagination Stage). Ayanna would like to thank her family and friends for their support and her cast mates for their artistry.

This is Theodore's performance debut at Perisphere Theatre. Previous credist include: From East, Like the Sun (Lovely Lane Methodist), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Shakespeare Beyond), Macbeth (Chesapeake Shakespeare), R & J (Strand Theatre Company), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Chesapeake Shakespeare). Theodore holds a BFA in Acting from UMBC.

James Stringer, Jr. is thrilled to be making his Perisphere debut! James has been in the DMV since August 2023. He is a member of the Black Classical Acting Ensemble with Chesapeake Shakespeare. Recent credits since moving include Twelfth Night (Endstation Theatre), Romeo and Juliet (Chesapeake Shakespeare), and Night of the Living Dead Live! (Rorschach Theatre).

Lavender Brio (they/them), a PG County native, is a passionate theater and music lover with over a decade of experience on and off stage. They are excited to make their Perisphere Theater debut! Lavender—known as Kyndall in their day-to-day life—is also a singer, model, and advocate for herbal healing. They are the Owner and CEO of Brightside Botanicals, launching in August 2025.

Jabari C. Williams (he/him) is thrilled to make his debut with Perisphere Theater. A recent graduate of DeSales University with a degree in Acting: Stage and Screen, Jabari has gained experience in university productions, film, and professional theater. His professional credits include Much Ado About Nothing(Borachio) and Macbeth (Macduff’s Son, Fleance) with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company. He was also a member of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival’s Young Company, performing in The Comedy of Errors(Solinus, Dr. Pinch, Luce, Officer), Cymbeline(Second Lord), and The Merry Wives of Windsor (u/s Page, u/s Bardolph).
