About Bus Stop - A Play by William Inge

BUS STOP
By William Inge

Performance Dates: November 7–9 & November 13–16

A snowstorm strands a group of strangers in a roadside diner just outside Kansas City, turning an ordinary night into an unforgettable collision of hearts, hopes, and hidden truths. In this classic American drama, playwright William Inge paints a tender, humorous, and poignant portrait of love in all its messy, unexpected forms.

As the bus passengers wait out the storm, tensions rise, secrets surface, and romance blooms in the most unlikely places. From the brash cowboy determined to claim his “bride” to the nightclub singer yearning for respect, each character reveals the vulnerability beneath their surface.

Bus Stop is a warm and witty exploration of connection, loneliness, and the human need to connect. With a talented cast of Pellissippi students and timeless themes, Prof. Tony Cedeño directs this production which promises to charm audiences and spark conversation long after the curtain falls.
