Heathers: The Musical Cast

Brody Cole (JD / Jason Dean)
Brody is beyond excited to be able to play his dream role, J.D. He has worked onstage and backstage for Calhoun Theatre, L.E.A.P, and Dream Weavers in shows such as “Footloose” (Bickle), “Peter and the Starcatcher” (Peter Pan), “Legally Blonde” (Warner), and most recently, “Seussical” (Mayor Who). His interests include hiking, video games, and karaoke night at Moe’s. “This is my first show with our new stage company, OSC. I grew up with our director, and we were always talking about doing something important in theatre. I can confidently say that we’ve accomplished that. I’d like to thank my parents, Julia and Jake, for always supporting me; my director, Caleb, for giving me this opportunity; and my girlfriend, Maggie, for being my rock throughout this process. I hope you all enjoy the show!”
Ashleigh Vickery (Veronica Sawyer)
Ashleigh is a proud alum of the Alabama Center for the Arts, now pursuing her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at Auburn University. Some of her previous roles include: Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Ariel), Cabaret (U/S Sally / Helga), and Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night (Viola). She would like to thank her friends and family in Outlet Stage Company for allowing her to come home and work with them on one of her dream shows! “Special thanks to my director, my BBBFF (big brother best friend forever), Caleb Thomas – thank you for believing in me before I ever believed in myself. Kaiah McKay (Heather Chandler)
Kaiah is so excited to be a part of Outlet Stage Company’s production of Heathers! Her previous favorite roles include Mimi Marquez (RENT), Whatsername (American Idiot), and Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors). She is thrilled to play the role of Heather Chandler with the most amazingly talented cast. She is transferring to Roosevelt University in the fall for a BFA in Musical Theatre! Her hobbies include performing, songwriting, and spontaneously bursting into song. She wishes to thank her mother, Debbie, and father, Keith, for all the support they have given her throughout her entire theatre journey. Kaiah wishes to extend her gratitude to director, Caleb Baldwin, for this amazing opportunity.
Maggie Mahan (Heather Duke)
Maggie is an alumnus of Calhoun Community College. She has been seen in the Decatur’s theatre community throughout the last couple of years. Her most favorable productions she’s been a part of are Mary Poppins (ensemble), The Little Mermaid (Andrina), Something Rotten (ensemble), Medea (Medea), The Shape of Things (Jenny), Legally Blonde (Serena), Cinderella (Gabrielle), Seussical (Mrs Mayor), and Our Town (Emily). She will also be seen in the ACA’s production of Sweeney Todd later this summer! She would like to thank her boyfriend Brody for the constant encouragement and her family as well!
Katie Springer (Heather McNamara)
Katie is currently pursuing her MFA in Theatre Education. She is a recent graduate of Athens State University, as well as serving as Vice President of Outlet Stage Company. Her previous roles include Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), The Sound of Music (Liesl), Tick Tick Boom (Karessa), and many more. Katie is excited to play a dream role while working with all her friends.
Hannah Crider-Stansell (Ms. Fleming, U/S Veronica)
Hannah is stoked to be in Heathers! She is a freelance social media manager and Director of Marketing and Brand Communications for Outlet Stage Company, and she is currently studying technical theatre and theatrical performance at Calhoun. Past performing credits include Songs for a New World (Woman 2), Little Shop of Horrors (Voice of Audrey II), American Idiot (Heather), Seussical (Swing, U/S Sour Kangaroo), & RENT (Seasons Soloist, U/S Maureen). Jackson Little (Ram Sweeney)
Jackson is thrilled to be performing in his first full-length production with Outlet Stage Company, as well as getting to be a part of this amazing creative team! He is a current student at Calhoun Community College working towards a degree in Graphic Design and plans to transfer to Athens State University after Calhoun. Some of his past show credits include Wizard of OZ (Cowardly Lion), Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Little Shop of Horrors (Voice of Audrey II), and many more. In his free time he enjoys creating art, gaming, watching horror movies, and creating choreography with his best bud Caleb. He would like to thank his amazing cast mates, and all the people who put their time into this show, for always being amazing people in and out of rehearsals. Love y’all <3
Lane Davis (Kurt Kelly)
Lane is a current Theatre Major at Calhoun, and he has recently showcased his acting talents as Creon in Euripides’ “Medea,” Lucas Beineke in Gingerbread Players’ production of “The Addams Family,” and as Skip Snip in Calhoun’s production of “Little Shop of Horrors.” When he's not on stage, Lane enjoys writing, watching Star Wars, and engaging in Armored Combat with his friends in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism). His goal for every show is to leave people happier than when they entered the theatre.
Aleriah Briggs (Martha Dunnstock)
Aleriah is delighted to be making her debut with Outlet Stage Company in her dream role. She had recently taken a break from theater and is happy for her return. Aleriah also would like to thank her friends and family, who have been cheering her along the way and Outlet Stage Company for giving her a great opportunity.
Marcus Patten (Kurt's Dad, Veronica's Dad, Principal Gowan)
Marcus is the Master Carpenter for both this show and for Outlet Stage Company. He is also now a graduate for Athens State University with a BA in Drama and an alumnus of Calhoun Community College. Most of his recent work was in “A Dolls House” (Athenian Players), “The Color Purple: The Musical” (IMP), and “The Little Shop of Horrors” (Calhoun Theatre). Marcus is thrilled to be a part of this fun show and is very excited to bring this show to Decatur.
Jackson McDaniel (Ram's Dad, JD's Dad, Coach Ripper)
Jackson is thrilled to be taking part in his first official OSC show! He was last seen as Jason in Calhoun Community College’s production of “Medea.” Some previous credits include Cogsworth (Beauty and the Beast), Patrick Martin / Interviewer / Ensemble (Little Shop of Horrors), Constable Warren (Our Town), and Dancer’s Ensemble (Seussical, Cinderella). He is majoring in History and English education with a minor in theatre, and is transferring to Athens State University in the Fall. Jackson would like to thank his friends, family, Caleb Baldwin, and God for giving him this chance to continue to hone his passion. Enjoy the show!
Jadyn Watkins (Veronica's Mom, Ensemble)
Jadyn just graduated from Decatur High School and is attending the University of Alabama this fall. Outside of high school, Jadyn was a stagehand for Calhoun’s production of Little Shop of Horrors and was the female understudy/ensemble in Tick, Tick… Boom! Jadyn is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow as an actor through this production, while also getting to learn what acting at a higher, more professional level looks like. “I want to thank the entire cast and crew for an amazing rehearsal process, this is one of the most fun shows I’ve ever been a part of. I would also like to thank my friends and family for their unconditional love and support, I love you guys!”
Anitra Burk (Office McCord, Ensemble, U/S Heather Duke)
Anitra is a senior at UNA, majoring in Social Work. Past show credits include: RENT (Ensemble), Annie (Maid, Boylan Sister, Ensemble), and Up the Down Staircase (Vivian Paine). Anitra is thankful for the opportunity to do what she loves to do with a talented group of people all while growing as an actress in the process.
Gadge Wigginton (Officer Milner, Ensemble)
Gadge just recently graduated from Calhoun with an Associate’s Degree. Past show credits include: Hello, Dolly! (Ensemble), Cabaret (Ensemble), Peter and the Starcatcher (Ted), Legally Blonde: The Musical (Ensemble ), Cinderella (Ensemble) and many more. Gadge is also the CEO/Treasurer of Outlet Stage Company. He would like to say thank you to everyone involved in Outlet for believing in the mission, for their continuous dedication, and for striving to create art in the community. He would also like to thank everyone for their continuous support! His last thank you goes to Caleb Baldwin, his partner in crime and right hand man. “I couldn’t do it without you, mother.” Gadge cannot wait for all of you to see Heathers: The Musical, and to see all of the hard work come to fruition.
Natika Paschal (Ensemble, U/S Ms. Fleming)
Natika is so excited to be in her first ever Outlet Stage Company production! Previous roles at Calhoun include Chiffon (Little Shop of Horrors), Rosa Stevens/Ensemble (Tick, Tick... Boom!), and First Woman / Dance Captain (Medea). She is looking forward to playing Beggar Woman in Calhoun Theatre's production of Sweeney Todd later this summer! Zoë Spargo (Ensemble, U/S Heather Chandler)
Zoë just graduated from Decatur High School. This is her first out-of-high-school show! Zoë is thankful for the opportunity to grow as an actor with this production. “I would like to thank my family and friends for always supporting me. I’d also like to thank the directors, cast, and crew, who have taught and inspired me so much!”
Beasley Hargrove (Ensemble, U/S Heather McNamara)
Beasley, a senior at Athens High School, is so excited to be a part of her first Outlet Stage Company show. She has been involved in community theatre for years with roles in Calhoun Theatre's Little Shop of Horrors (Mrs. Luce / Ensemble); LMP's Carrie (Ensemble) and 13: The Musical (Molly); Dreamweaver's Frozen (Middle Anna); Theatre Huntsville's A Christmas Story (Esther Jane); and Footlight's Wizard of Oz (Dorothy) and The Secret Garden (Mary). Beasley has been so blessed to be part of such a wonderful and talented cast and crew. Enjoy the show!
Zander Godwin (Ensemble, U/S JD)
Zander graduated from Decatur high school in 2023 and has always loved performing. This is his first community production. The shows he has performed in include: The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (Percy Jackson), Alice in Wonderland (Mad Hatter), The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (Bull), and Band Geeks (Spitz). Zander is very thankful to be performing again and would like to thank his friends and family for the support and encouragement.
Gray Keith (Ensemble)
Gray is on the Advisory Committee for Outlet Stage Company. Previous roles include Featured Ensemble in American Idiot, Vlad Vladikov in Seussical, and ensemble in multiple shows put on by Calhoun Community College and Athens State University.
Ty Kerby (Ensemble)
Ty is a paramedic and nursing student at Wallace State Community College. Past show credits include; Lion King (Mufasa), Freaky Friday (Adam), and Emma! (Frankie). Ty is super excited to get back on stage with OSC and has truly loved working with this incredible team! “I want to thank everyone who has supported me in this journey back to theatre. Your love and support means the world!”
Renee Hall (Ensemble, Featured Dancer)
Renee is excited to be performing as a featured dancer in this production of “Heathers: The Musical”! In recent years she has danced in the ensemble for Grissom High School’s productions of “Tuck Everlasting,” “Shrek the Musical,” and “Peter Pan,” as well as lending her makeup skills on a production of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” Renee was also Mom/Whitney in Calhoun’s “Legally Blonde” and danced as Rosie in “Cabaret.” She is an Art major at Calhoun Community College. Her interests are of course art, musical theatre, and dance.
