About A Trip Down Commedia Lane
If a TED Talk and a tequila shot had a baby, this would be the show. Optimistic Personality Disorder is part stand-up, part storytelling... raw, real, a little naughty, and wildly relatable. Merit Kahn takes you on a no-filter ride through love, loss, reinvention, and the messy stories we tell ourselves to survive it all. It’s the kind of show where you’ll find yourself thinking, “I can’t believe she just said that”… and also, “oh my god, same.” Smart, honest, and completely unforgettable, this is the experience you didn’t know you needed.

Q&A with the Producer
Why did you submit your show to the Omaha Fringe Festival?
After talking to my friends who performed in the Fringe Festival last year, they encouraged me to submit my Commedia dell'arte idea. Its a great place to experiment, and the challenge of producing a show for the community definitely caught my attention.
What are you hoping audiences will take away from the performance?
I'm hoping the audience learns the modern relevance of Commedia dell'Arte, especially how present the historical style is in our culture! Plus, I hope to encourage the performers in our audience to experiment with physical humor! Part of theatre is learning how to make a fool of yourself on stage, and that's exactly what we plan to do.
