13th Annual One Act Play Festival Cast

Mark Cunningham (Dad (Shaving Lessons and Half-Windsor Knots))
In 2023, Mark appeared in six plays in four 1-act play festivals: Grace Finds Kel, The Tank, NYC; She's Got His Number, The Players Theatre, NYC; Dress Blues and Resilient Patient Healthcare Symphony, West Milford Players, West Milford, NJ; The Accounting and Sonny Waits, Players Guild of Leonia, Leonia, NJ. Mark recently performed in the filmed part of the play "The Vagabond Hotel" produced by iD Studios, NYC and previously appeared in student films at NYU-Tisch and Rowan University. He is currently an actor in the New York P.A.G.E.S and the San Francisco bay area Drama With Friends groups. Mark studied acting with Scott Freeman at the Freeman Studios, NYC and with June Ballinger at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA. He is proud to have just finished his first stint as a co-director and stage manager for the full-length play "Whispers" at Taetro Latea in the Lower East Side.
Rafaelle L Danta (Son (Shaving Lessons And Half-Windsor Knots By F.J. Hartland)
Rafaelle L Danta (Son) is ecstatic to be part of this production. Credits include: Roger in Generations (Apricot Sky Productions), Paul in Women Behind Bars (The Strollers), Hero in Something Happened On The Way To The Forum (Park Players), Prince Charming in Rapunzel (Hudson Theatre Works), Chester in Anna In The Tropics, and Damien in Shows For Days (Nutley Little theatre), Annas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Milan in Rock’n’Roll, and Bobby in Cabaret (Rutgers-NJIT Theatre). Rafaelle has a business degree from Rutgers University. Love and thanks to Linda for this opportunity.
Adam S. Gelles (Vincent Leonetti - The Waters of The West Branch)
On a dare from his childhood best friend Steve Gellert, Adam caught the acting bug. He’s performed in over 40 shows since then across a wide genre of drama, comedy, and classical theatre including noteworthy roles as Renfield– “Dracula”; Mr. Robinson- “The Graduate”;Father Drobney – “Don’t Drink the Water” and Charles Cheswick in “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.” Adam recently expanded into short film projects with Imaginary Friends Filmworks where he received a Best Actor award from the New Jersey Film Awards for Outstanding Performance as Rick in “Little Green Bastards” in November 2022. Adam dedicates all his performances to the love & support of his family Angela, Janine, Brad, & Alice and in loving memory of Steve who put him on this journey over 35 years ago.
Nat Gennace (Tommy "The One Good Thing")
Nat Gennace is honored to be involved with the 2024 Olt Library Theater One Act’s production. Nat is a stage, film, and Improv actor, and has appeared in films A Dark Place Inside and Patriot: Operation Paul Revere. Nat has also been in the Web Series Behind the Cocaine, Mancave, and Community Cares. Nat has appeared on-stage in Marvin’s Room, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Next, Play On!, Wait Until Dark, Stageworks Studio 237 One Act Play Festival (2022 and 2023), Jekyll and Hyde, Amityville Horror '74, Comedy Tonight, OLT One Act Play Festival 2019 and 2021, House on Haunted Hill, The Wild Party (Lippa), Young Frankenstein!, Jesus Christ Superstar, My Big Gay Italian Wedding, Lone Star, and The Good Doctor. Nat can be seen performing improv with Nutty by Nature, and Sketch Comedy with Laughing Goats Sketch Comedy. Nat is also a writer and director of several published works. Nat would like to extend a huge thank you to the wonderful cast for their commitment, support, and energy. Benjamin Karras (Danny, The Waters of the West Branch)
Benjamin Karras (Danny, The Waters of the West Branch) Ben is excited to return to OLT’s One Act Festival alongside this wonderful cast. He previously appeared in Titanic the Musical and the One Act Festival in 2023. Ben has been performing in various community theatre companies since age 8. His previous roles include Bellboy (Titanic), Sheldon (The Prom), Jason (Falsettos), Gavroche (Les Miserable), Aldolpho (Drowsy Chaperone), Narrator (Into the Woods), Wayne Hopkins (Puffs), Gaston (Beauty and the Beast Jr.), Genie (Aladdin Jr.), and others.
Brooke Kaye (Detective Debra Guilford (Waters of the West Branch) and Beem (The Queen and Her Hive))
Brooke Kaye is excited to be back at Old Library Theatre performing in her third One Act Play Festival. Brooke is an actress/singer who has been entertaining local audiences for the last ten years, appearing in various plays and musicals. When Brooke is not performing, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two rescue dogs. She would like to thank her directors, Nat and Jackie for giving her the opportunity to play these two very different roles.
Katie Maul (Bobbie in Tony and Joey Go to Therapy and Queen in The Queen and Her Hive)
Katie is excited to be back on stage with Old Library Theatre! Katie is a freelance video editor and graphic designer and mom to two awesome kids. She was a theater minor in college and has enjoyed performing since she was a kid. She most recently appeared as Lee in Marvin's Room with Old Library Theatre. Other favorite roles include Portia from Merchant of Venice, Cassie in Rumors and The Fool in King Lear. She is grateful for her supportive husband and family. She would like to thank Old Library Theatre for giving her the opportunity to be involved in another production here in her home town of Fair Lawn.
Frank McDonnell (Joey - Tony and Joey go to Therapy)
Frank is happy to be back performing with OLT. He appeared in The Diary of Anne Frank (Otto) and Richard Rogers Salute at OLT (a while ago). He has appeared locally in Guys and Dolls, I Love You You're Perfect Now Change, Man of LaMancha(Padre), 1776, Anything Goes, Most Happy Fella, Urinetown, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Canaries and many one acts. He dedicates this performance to his wife Ann, daughters Caroline and Meaghan and their husbands and his glorious granddaughters Harper and Madison.
Alex Papasavas (Jamie - The One Good Thing (Are Ya Patrick Swayze))
Alex is a recent graduate of Vassar College, where he studied Drama. While at school, he appeared in shows such as Witch (Sir Arthur Banks), 9 to 5 (Franklin Hart Jr.), and Pippin. Since graduating he has appeared in St Anne’s Stages UNITE 2023 and Marvin’s Room (Dr Wally) with OLT, and he is excited to bring this amazing work to life with everyone else involved in the show!
Donald Pauselius (Hargrove - Waters Of The West Branch, Tony - Tony And Joey Go To Therapy)
Donald has been active in community theatre for many years, with too many credits to list. However some recent favorites are The Limping Man in Fuddy Meers with North Star Theatre. King Charles in Pippen, The Hospital Ghost in the musical Ghost, and The Big Bad Wolf/Scrooge in A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol all at Rhino Theatre, and very recently as Mr. Pippet in Suite Surrender at the Barn Theatre. He is thrilled to be making his OLT debut in these one acts. During the day Donald supports his acting addiction by working as an Occupational Therapist at St. Joseph's School for the Blind in Jersey City.
Lauren Proda (Beep (The Queen and her Hive))
Lauren is thrilled to be part of the OLT One Acts for the second time! Lauren is a local elementary school teacher. While not working, she thoroughly enjoys following her childhood dream of acting. Recent acting credits include: Lost in Yonkers (Pioneer Productions), Oct Act Play Jamboree (Stageworks), All My Sons (Star Royale), Trivia Night Murder (WHATCo), One Act Play Festival (Old Library Theater), & The Holi Poly Plays (D.S. Burrows). Thanks to everyone involved in this production!
