Senior Dance Concert Fall 2023: The Journey Will Be Creative

Quinn Rudy
Quinn Rudy is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management and Strategic Leadership at Ohio University. Quinn has been dancing for 16 years and has trained in many styles including jazz, ballet, hip hop, musical theater, tap, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and African dance. Quinn has performed in the Movement concert (2021,2022), and several Senior Concerts (2021,2022,2023). She also performed in Amy Miller’s work, PZOD, as part of Ohio University’s Winter Dance Concert (2023). Last spring, she choreographed a piece for the Junior Project Concert titled, Nature Within. Quinn is the recipient of the Fine Arts Talent Award, OHIO Promise Award, OHIO Gateway Scholarship, and the OHIO Focus Award. Quinn is also a teacher at Factory Street Dance Studio here in Athens, Ohio where she teaches Jazz for students 7-10.

Abby Donnelly
Abby Donnelly is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography, minor in Psychology, and earning a certificate in Entrepreneurship. She began dancing at age three at Cincy Dance Studio. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and modern. Her recent work, premiered in The Movement Concert, titled lines. She also choreographed for the Junior Project Showing, featuring a work titled to-get-her. She also performed in multiple student works in Senior Concerts and the Movement Concert. Abby has done summer programs with the University of Cincinnati and a Summer Intensive with Alexandra Beller. Abby is the recipient of the OHIO Distinction, OHIO Focus, Fine Arts Talent/Endowed, OHIO Gateway, and OHIO Pathway Scholarships and accepted into the Pepsi Leadership program her freshman year.

Chloe Bray
Chloe Bray is working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography, accompanied with a Minor in Marketing, and a Certificate in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies at Ohio University. Bray began her dance training in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of five years old. She has studied ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, tap, jazz, modern, musical theater, composition and African. She attended Butler Tech School of the Arts where she acquired a Certificate in Fine Arts, Dance. While attending Ohio University, Chloe received the Fine Arts Talent Award and the Athens Summer Scholarship. She has performed in various dance concerts at Ohio University. Most recently, Chloe performed in the 2023 Winter Dance Concert in, PZOD, directed by NYC Gibney Dance’s, Amy Miller. As a choreographer, Chloe has choreographed modern, contemporary, jazz, pom, ballet, musical theater, & cheerleading styles of dance in Athens & Cincinnati. Her most recent works include “one size fits all” performed at Ohio University and the musical, “Once Upon A Mattress” performed in Hamilton Ohio by Encore Community Theater. Chloe continues to set works in Cincinnati & Athens as a student & professional choreographer.

Erica Lewis
Erica Lewis is a student pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography, minor in Marketing, and a certificate in Performing Arts Health and Wellness at Ohio University (2024). She is the recipient of The Fine Arts Talent Enhancement Award, Residential Artist Award, The Shirley Wimmer Talent Scholarship and The Special Talent Award. Erica is from Columbus, Ohio where she began dancing in 2005, training in contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and West African dance. Most recently, Erica choreographed a group work entitled Opulence which premiered at The Junior Dance Project Showing (2023). In addition, she has performed in Anna Sullivan’s work, MirrorrorriM, in Ohio University’s Winter Dance Concert (2022) and has also performed with The Ghana Dance Ensemble for Ohio University’s World Music and Dance Concert (2022).

Sierra Belmares
Sierra Belmares is a student at Ohio University working towards her Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance and Choreography and with minors in Business Administration and Retail and Fashion Product Development (2024). Sierra began dancing in 2005 and is trained in many styles. Sierra has experience in studio and competitive ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, African, and hip-hop. She has participated in David Dorfman’s’ two-week Summer Dance Intensive (Ohio University 2019) and has performed in Senior Dance and Movement Concerts. She also performed in the 11th World Music and Dance Concert with Ohio University’s African Ensemble. Sierra has been awarded several scholarships including the Ruiz/Lewis Memorial Dance Scholarship, The Yolanda Molnar Dance scholarship, The Wimmer/ Patterson Urban Award, and Fine Arts Talent Enhancement Scholarships.
