The Wiz Cast

10th Grade - Ella is making her debut in The Wiz on the Northtown Stage. She has taken theatre at Oak Park and is currently in Theatre 2 at Northtown. She is excited for the show.

9th Grade - Camille was most recently Fighting Prawn in Peter and the Starcatcher and has performed in The Big Bad, Everything's Groovy at Eastgate Middle School, & Super Comics, Wizard of Oz, The Internet is a Distraction-Oh Look - A Kitten (Internet Play) at Northgate Middle School. She would like to thank Ms. Kessler and Ms. Ford for introducing theatre to her. She would also like to thank her family for supporting her.

12th Grade - Cadence is making her debut at Northtown in the Wiz. Cadence has also been involved in band. I'd like to thank my friend Zach for reminding me of my interest in theater over the Summer.

11th Grade - Ayla was most recently Prentiss in Peter and the Starcatcher. Previous shows included Legend of the Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland, and Sleepy Mia. Ayla would like to thank Sammy Driggers for encouragement and Mr. Jackson for always being there.

3rd Grade - Phoenix is a 3rd grader at Briarcliff/Norclay. The Wiz is Phoenix's main stage debut! She is so excited to be a part of the cast. Phoenix would like to thank Mr. Jackson for the opportunity, Mrs. Taylor for walking her to rehearsal every day and all her friends and family for cheering her on.

12th Grade - Noah has been involved in theatre since 6th Grade. His favorite shows have been - The Great Gatsby, Mary Poppins, & 21 Chump Street. He would like to thank his Mom, Mrs. Cunningham and Jackson for the opportunities & encouragement.

9th Grade - McKenna made her NKCHS debut in Mary Poppins as a 7th Grader. She was most recently seen in Peter and the Starcatcher. Other shows have been The Internet is a Distraction- Oh Look a Cat, Super Comics, & The Wizard of Oz. McKenna would like to thank Harper for getting her into theatre.

12th Grade -6 Janelle Douyon made her Northtown debut in 6 in last years M.O.B.S. A transfer student from Lee's Summit, Janelle is currently a member of the NTV news, the Diversity Council, and the Black Student Union. She would like to thank her family for their support.

12th Grade - Marianna has been involved in theatre since 7th Grade. She was mostr recently Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher.Some of the shows she has been involve in are Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, and 12 Angry Jurors. Marianna would like to thank Jom, Jeemee, and Doll Doll, for all the support and encouragement.

9th Grade - Mag is making her Northtown debut in The Wiz. Mag was in Super Comics in North Gate Middle School and was to be in Wizard of Oz before COVID! She was also a part of Camp Stage Struck's Mulan. Mag would like to thank her parents for their support.

11th Grade - Nayeli Made her NKCHS debut in Peter & the Starcatcher as Capt.Robert Falcon Scott. She is also involved in Orchestra and Volley Ball. Nayeli would to thank my sisters for encouraging her in all that she does.

10th Grade -Anastasia Jensen is a sophomore and is performing in her 5th show at NKCHS. She is excited to be playing Aunt Em in The Wiz. Her previous acting credits include roles in High School Musical Jr, Annie Jr and rehearsals for Wizard of Oz at Northgate Middle School. She has also previously performed in The 12 Angry Jurors, and in Peter and the Star Catcher. This past spring she was a stage manager for 1 acts and performed in one of the shows. Anastasia is currently a violinist in Chamber Orchestra, and Jazz Orchestra. She has been a member of Color Guard her freshman and sophomore year as well as Winter Guard her freshman year. She is currently president of HOSA (Health Occupation Student Association), where she has been a member since her freshman year. Anastasia would like to thank her family and friends for all of their support and would like to thank the cast and crew for making theater such a great place to express her creativity.

12th Grade - Ketsia is making her debut on the Northtown Stage. Ketsia most recently made All-District Choir, President of Women's Chorus and Track and Field her freshman year. She participated in Theatre in Middle School and cannot wait to get back on the stage. Ketsia would like to thank her family, Jackson and the Northtown Theatre Association..

10th Grade - Lilly made her NKCHS Debut in Mary Poppins in 8th Grade. She was most recently seen as Molly in Peter and the Starcatcher. She has also performed in 12 Angry Jurors, NKC MisCast, & SIX, 21 Chump Street for M.O.B.S. XXIV. She has also participated in Starlight Theater's Educational program. She also competes on the varsity Tennis team on NKCHS. Lilly would like to thank her family for coming to see all of the things she performs in and their encouragement.

9th Grade - Lucas is making his NKCHS debut in The Wiz. He was involved in the theatre program at Northgate Middle School and was in Big Bad amongst other shows.

10th Grade - Imari is making her Northtown debut in The Wiz. She not only performs in the Wiz but is a part of the Competitive Drama Team.

9th Grade - Riley makes her NKCHS debut in The Wiz, at Antioch MS she did the Suessification of A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Music Man. Riley would like her mom for support.

10th Grade -Felix was most recently Captain Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher. When he was in 8th grade he participated as an extra in the NKCHS theatre production, Mary Poppins. He was then cast as tin man in The Wizard of Oz at Northgate Middle School. At Northtown he has participated in Miscast@NKC, 12 Angry Jurors, For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, Actor's Nightmare, & M.O.B.S. XXIV.

9th Grade - Zowie participated in theatre at Northgate Middle School in The Internet is Distracting - Oh Look A Kitten. Zowie is in Jazz Orchestra, Animae Club and Animation Club. Zowie would like to thank her parents for their support and all the people that have been in her life.

12th Grade- Sonja has been doing theater for 6 years. She was most recently in Peter and the Starcatcher. She has participated in all of the shows ranging from Pippin and now Peter and The Starcatcher. She loves theater and loves every moment on stage. She’s thankful to be in the shows she’s in now.

9th Grade - Evan makes his NKCHS debut in The Wiz! Evan is a competitve dancer for Miss Diana's School of Dance and has been dancing for 10 years. Evan would like to thank Jackson for the opportunity and the upper classmen for the help, the tech for making us look and sound good. He would also like to thank his parents for their support.

11th Grade - Moira participated in Eastgate and Northgate. Her favorite role was Ms. Hannigan. Moira would like to thank her mom for being there and supporting her and convincing her to try out for Annie and The Wiz.

12th Grade - Emmanuelle has been participating in theatre since she was like 5. She most recently directed Peter and the Starcatcher. Her favorite shows have been Mary Poppins (Jane), The Great Gatsby (Director). Emmanuelle would like thank her Mom and Dad for supporting her.

3rd Grade - Cora was most recently the Mermaid "Teacher" in Peter and the Starcatcher. She has been a participant of Camp Stage Struck for many years. Cora has performed in Dr. Newheart at church, Suessical the musical with Camp Stage Struck, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Camp Stage Struck. Cora would like to thank Mr. Jackson and her parents for the opportunities and support.

7th Grade - Esther has been involved in a number of plays and Camp Stage Struck. She just finished the role of Dawn in Wishful Thinking at Northgate. Some of her favorite shows she has been in were Little Mermaid at Eastgate 6th Grade Center, Wizard of Oz at Starlight Theater, Mulan in Camp Stage Struck. Esther would like to thank her mom and dad for their support and encouragement.

9th Grade - Harper is making her debut at NKCHS in The Wiz. Harper is also active in Competitive Dramatics.

Luna is making her stage debut in The Wiz. Luna is 5 years old and when she isn't performing she plays with her toys, Anastasia and take naps.
