About In The Heights

In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.

Monsignor Pace High School Drama Club

For over 20 years, The Drama Program at Monsignor Pace High School (Pace Drama) has fostered opportunity for our students to explore their passion for theatre. From The Great Gatsby to Puffs - Guys & Dolls to Beauty & The Beast - and everything in between, our productions are completely student-centered - meaning that not only are we focused with creating a space for students to make the most of their high school experience, but also to nurture and challenge their talents, expose and help them develop new, valuable, and unique skill sets, and allow students hands on experience to be able to apply those practices. In other words, while our students are multi-talented, our productions are completely student run, on and off the stage. Pace Drama values hard work, family, and love for the performing arts and throughout our history of show-stopping performances, we aspire to live up to those values while creating memories our students will cherish long after their high school years.
