About Mean Girls: High School Version

Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order?

Monrovia High School

The Monrovia Wildcat Theater is a conservatory-style theater program at Monrovia High School, a public high school in the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County. Our award-winning theater program consists of four comprehensive theater classes: Drama 1, Drama 2, Advanced Drama/ Honors Theater, and Stagecraft.

The mission of the MHS theater department is to provide excellent theater education to all students while also providing them with performance opportunities and resources to continue their theatrical careers beyond high school. Our Wildcat thespians have adopted the motto: “We are a professional theater company located in a High School.”

Every school year, Monrovia Wildcat Theater mounts two major theatrical productions, including a fall play and spring musical, participates in competitions, and hosts a myriad of events and fundraisers.

We have an accomplished staff of teaching artists, and work to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and artistic achievement.

We encourage community involvement and support in the form of donations and volunteer opportunities. We are proud members, supporters, and alumni of both the Monrovia and wider San Gabriel theater community.
