About The Wizard of Oz

Experiencing troubles at home, Dorothy dreams of a place “over the rainbow”. After a cyclone strikes, she finds herself in the magical land of Oz, amongst the Munchkins and the Good Witch of the North, Glinda, who gives her the ruby slippers and sends her on a quest to find the Wizard of Oz along the Yellow Brick Road. Along the way, she encounters the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion. Dorothy and her new friends arrive in the Emerald City, where the Wizard of Oz tasks them with seizing the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West. On their way to the Land of the Winkies, they are attacked by the Jitterbugs and carried off to the Wicked Witch's castle, where they end up liquidating her and are gifted the broomstick by the grateful Winkies. Back in the Wizard's chamber, they reveal the Wizard to be a fraud. The Wizard grants the wishes of the Scarecrow, Tinman, and Lion. However, in his attempt to take Dorothy home, his balloon flies away and she is left stranded in Oz. Glinda appears and reveals to Dorothy that she had the power to go home all along. Clicking the heels of the ruby slippers, Dorothy is transported home where she is surrounded by friends and family. Was it all a dream?

Little Actors' Studio

Amber Brooke Lopez was invited to facilitate the after school drama program at Murdock Elementary School in 2014. Little Actors' Studio was created as a result of that request and has taught little actors the art of theater every year since. Little Actors’ Studio continues to strive to build the confidence of all its participants by giving each student a moment in the spotlight of every performance. We call it “LIttle Actors' Studio” because it's a little studio that belongs to the actors. We believe there are no “little” actors.
